Any digital sound bar will work fine. Regarding brand, your choice. However, unless you are looking to have the surround sound experience, I found that you don't need a sound bar as the quality of Samsung's internal speakers equal those of 'cabinet' speakers. I've owned 4 Samsung TVs, currently 2, and have yet to be disappointed with their sound. Hope this helps.
You are not going to like this answer: NO sound bar comes close the full blown 5.1 or 7.1 traditional sound systems. I am picky I suppose. The only one that gives excellent performance is Bose sound bar. But then it can set you back by a couple of thousand $s. For that amount of money you might as well buy a full blown sound system for about $1000. Panasonic makes one but it is in the $1200 range. So, there are no short cuts when it comes to quality. There are sound bars at around $200 (Samsung) to about $800 (Sony). But they sound awful. So stay away from sound bars. Nobody has perfected that technology except Bose. But I would not buy Bose. What do I use at present, you ask? Well, I have a Pioneer (1000 watts) receiver + PSB (it is the name of the company) speakers that put out some amazing sound. With quality cables and powerbar etc. etc.. I spent close to $1000 including tax. I never regretted that choice. Sounds so real. I personally like PSB brand which makes some of the best speakers and subwoofer out there. Google for PSB. It is a Canadian company but sold everywhere.
Sound bars are a waste of money unless you are spending over a grand and in that case, get a full blown surround system instead. This TV doesn't sound great but a sound bar won't improve anything. Trust me. I've tried many of them.
