i havejust heardthis album and is is by far the worst thingi have heard in a long time.i loved korn , i would drive 200 miles to gosee them a second time back in the day. this new albumthough the lyrics are horrible and sounds likea teenager winning with no melody, and the music had no rythem , is repitious, and un-memorable. save your money and buy something else worth listening to.
The first two albums were the best ones they put out, and this one pretty much follows up on those albums. It's been reported and reported again that they were going for this sound. What were you expecting?
I respectfully disagree, cliche dissenting middle-aged-man-who-used-to-listen-to-Korn-in-middle-school-but-doesn't-like-anything-by-them-after-Issues. Let me tell you something, if you don't like more than 50% of their music, then why call yourself a fan and complain about the direction which this band is taking?
I love this album. And even thought I was thrown off a bit by their "regression" of sound by hiring Ross Robinson (who produces their first two albums), after listening to the album for a week now, I must say this is one of their best. The sound is strong and raw, filled with emotion. The lyrics are all mature, and this isn't simply a clone of their first two albums, this has it's own unique sound, which makes every song a pleasant surprise to the ears. I Love it! I recommend that you give this album another listen, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I pre-ordered my copy already and can't wait to have it in my hands! 5/5.
Hey, I love a lot of Korn's music, but the best albums were definitely the first two. I'm glad they've gone back to their roots on this one especially after the Untitled album, which pretty much sucked. It's not like their other albums after the first two weren't good, there's a lot of good stuff. I own Self-Titled, Life Is Peachy, Untouchables, Take A Look In The Mirror, and See You On The Other Side.
