3.0 out of 5 stars Wrong All Day
"Green" is the reason why I bought the CD after seeing the movie "Fall." The version on the CD is slightly different than the one used in the movie.

'Wrong All Day' is quite right for two reasons. It's the perfect drug for those fans still addicted, yet unable to be fulfilled due to the unfortunate breakup of a promising band. The former Marry Me Jane front-woman does not disappoint with this independent release. On the other hand, for those who have not yet heard of Amanda Kravat, it is also a key introduction to a very talented singer/songwriter.

And finally! The music behind Eric Schaeffer's films is released! The obvious reason for many when purchasing this album: "Green" from 'Fall' (1997, MGM). You may remember hearing "Love Me Like You Know Me", "Beautifully Complicated", "Dollhouse", "Fraulein", "One More Day" and "Right On Time" in 'Wirey Spindell' (1998, WinStar Cinema). You even get a preview of the music from 'Never Again' (2001, USA Films) with "Steady Now". And on top of all that, you're treated with a few demos including my absolute favorite song on the album, "Do Fish Cry?". An amazing set of songs with not a single track on this disc to be skipped!

Amanda paints a vivid picture with her descriptive, heart-felt lyrics and beautiful, yet haunting voice for an unforgettable release. The only problem with 'Wrong All Day' is that it leaves you thirsty for more. A solution may not be too far from sight, with the inevitable release of a major-label solo debut!

Bottom line: if you're a Marry Me Jane fan... an Eric Schaeffer fan... a Lilith Fair-esque fan... or if you're simply looking for something new, fresh, and worth its every penny, buy this CD! You won't regret it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Artist - Fabulous Album!, June 5, 2001
This review is from: wrong all day (Audio CD)
Let me just say that Amanda Kravat and her former band Marry Me Jane have given me endless hours of listening enjoyment the last few years. I'm usually pretty critical of music today and it's wonderful to hear a fresh new voice like Amanda's. Her lyrics are insightful and thought provoking and her songs are catchy and warm at the same time. Not only that, but she's one hell of a nice person. I've met her at some shows in NYC and she always has time for talking and taking pictures after the show. Best of luck to you Amanda - you deserve it. This is a great album and make sure you hunt down music from her former band Marry Me Jane as well.

Wrong All Day will not disappoint. Give it a listen or two and you'll find yourself wanting more from Amanda. Highlights include the title track, "I Don't Wanna Be Your Girlfriend", " One More Day", "Steady Now", and the dreamy "Love Me Like You Know Me", but the whole thing is great. I highly suggest this album for anyone looking to try something new.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amanda 's Debut just keeps getting better, June 6, 2001
This review is from: wrong all day (Audio CD)
It's like falling in love ... you can't believe that it could ever be this good and it just keeps getting better. Let's face it; there are very few artists that can consistently write good music. There're always a few songs that you just skip over ... not true with this album.

From thumpin' tunes like "Wrong All Day" to the perhaps simple but incredible "Do Fish Cry?", this album will stimulate every sense you have.

With incredible lyrics, emotional vocal control, and a tasty production throughout ... this album will haunt you when you're away from it and delight you each time you play it.

Better than chocolate...Amanda Kravat's first bit into the world of solo rock singers is the wonderful, "Wrong All Day." It's only June as I write this, but believe me, this is the best album you'll own this year. Amanda Kravat is the ex-lead singer of the 90's rock band, "Marry Me Jane," who broke up and Amanda kept singing solo-style. Starting the disc off strong is "Killin' Time" and it only gets better from there. There's not one bad song-there's not even one "fair" song here, only one killer tune after another. The ever-so-lovely "Love me like you know me" has to be one of the most beautiful broken heart love songs ever written, and the fantastic "Fraulein" gets my vote for best-written ballad. And, as any Amanda fan or Marry Me Jane will tell you, the haunting "Green(you can't touch me)" delivers all the goods in five minutes. The other great tunes on the album are "Beautifully Complicated," "Right on Time," the beautiful "Steady Now," the powerful "I Don't Want to be your Girlfriend," "Dollhouse, "Do fish cry?," "One more day," & "Wrong all day." This incredible album just gets better with each and every spin, and to any one who digs well written, rockin' music will fall in love with Amanda's lush-wonderous voice. And if you can dig up a copy of 'em, check out Marry Me Jane's two albums, their self-titled debut(also known as the "If Lucy Fell" soundtrack), and their second, and last, "Tick."

Total work of artistic wonderment! This album is a sample of the many sounds of Amanda Kravat. She has such an interesting blend of lyrical and musical talent you won't be able to pull this one out of your disk changer for quite some time! If you are interested in music that is both insightful and playful, creative and catchy, smart and silly, or young and wise you must give this cd a run. Sheer joy, raw emotion, and talent which equals her personal beauty! MORE MORE! :)

If "Green" were the only song on the album, it would still be worth the price and more. If you like female artists with a soul, Amanda is a gem worth discovering. I spent months tracking her down after her voice literally haunted me from the music in a little-known movie.

The power of Alanis (the good album, not the sucky one), a voice to rival Sarah McLachlan's, and the musical chops and songwriting of Ani DiFranco. This album will become one of your favorites the first time you play it.

Amanda Kravat has done it again! The plaintive yet prideful beauty of Amanda's spirit and words pour out from her newest work, "Wrong All Day" in a possesing and over-powering way that makes you feel wistful and leaves you longing for more. Amanda, the former lead singer of Marry Me Jane, understands music and lyrics in a way that puts so many of the current chart-topping "musicians" to shame. "Killin' Time," the first track from "Wrong All Day" is a wonderful testament to raw emotion and confusion. "Fraulein" leaves you with a powerful sense of faded memories being clung to and "I Don't Want To Be Your Girlfriend" is the consumate chick-rock song. This debut solo album should rocket Amanda to the top of the charts where she belongs. Kudos to the rockin' redhead for this awesome accomplishment.

Whatever made me pick up "Fall" at the video store this winter, I'll never know, but I'm certainly glad I did because it introduced me to Amanada's sound. Often the music in a movie goes unnoticed, but in "Fall" the music jumps from the screen! "Green" is the best song I've heard all year and I predict it will propel Miss Kravat to the next level of stardom where she belongs! Buy "Wrong All Day" now!

4.0 out of 5 stars A must for any Marry Me Jane fan, June 5, 2001
This review is from: wrong all day (Audio CD)
What it lacks in polished production, it makes up for in songwriting quality. Amanda is one of my favority songwriters, first when she was with Marry Me Jane, and now on her own.

This style is similar to MMJ, if you like their music, you'll definately like this album.

I have been following amanda kravat for years since i bought the first "marry me jane" cd. A true lover of hers i am. When she decided to leave the band i wasn't sure the path she would take. After hearing this album, i believe her solo career was long overdue. She has outdone herself with "wrong all day"!! From the impatient feel of the title track to the ever-so-haunting "Green", this album will not disappoint kravat "virgins". Her small loyal following has already deemed this album platinum and those who have yet to hear her name will surely be introduced to the burning red-head and her passionate lyrics in the near future. This album will be felt in the heart of anyone who really "understands" music. Inspiring and divine Miss Amanda!!!!!
