You can use an optional sd card with this camera. Then you can switch between the camera memory or the SD Card.

Yes there is an SD card slot in the bottom which will retain up to a 32GB card.

You can't add base memory, but there is one SD slot for an SD card that you can add and swap out. I was able to add 32 GB.

Yes, via Memory Stick DUO Pro or SD/SDHC/SDXC. With SDXC, you can use one up to 64GB. Sony does not guarantee memory compatibility when it comes to SDHC or SDXC, but the top brands (Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic, Sandisk) should work. In my experience, Sony usually tests with their own memory cards as well those from Panasonic and Toshiba.

Yes, there's a slot for a memory card. I think I used a 32G. The 64G seemed like too much.

I don't know ... you'd have to ask Sony .... i have multiple high memory flash cards and am fine with those.
