Downloading Ms.Basinet's songs was one of the best things that happened in 2001 ! Her voice took me to a happy little place that I thought I lost - and needed back, especially after Sept.11th, 2001. Thanks Cynthia, your music brought me joy, and warmth for the holidays and into 2002. I don't know which song is my favorite because I love them all...........but love love love your rendition of "Santa Baby", it's always been one of my all time favorite Holiday songs.
So if you want a CD to bring you "the spirit" you need, order this one, it will get you in the mood......
I just wish there were more tunes. I am keeping my ears and eyes out for Cynthia's next magical CD and so should you. This is a must for your holiday collection be sure to make that purchase and get this CD on your player for your holiday party.
Holidays over ? Make that purchase anyway, you won't be disappointed. Worth every penny, and that's a penny and a half since I live in Canada ! eh !

There's something about music that can change your entire mood. A certain song can make you ecstatic, another can make you sad or depressed. Don't count on this small collection of tunes to invoke either of the above emotions in you however.

The smooth, seductive voice of C. Basinet will undoubtedly put you in a romantic mood--a mood where you feel how wonderful it is to fall in love and what a beautiful world it is where such romance can not only be sought after but achieved. The tracks, each and every one (but especially "Santa Baby" and a personal favorite "Tea for Two"), include soft, melodious tunes serving as the perfect complement to what I believe is a perfect voice.

All in all, this is the type of music for anyone who likes the prospect of falling in love, or the feeling of being in love, with a wonderful person. It is great music, for great people, wherever and whenever they meet.

I have this closest to my stereo, my own top shelf. I had heard her Haunted Heart on a site called CD Baby and rushed to find out more about her. She has a gorgeous voice and it is not too many these days I hear that can take a standard and keep it as lovely but with a new creative twist mirroring this day. U2 gets me there and John Mayer. A touch of dark in all her songs, emotionally honest; after all we are twelve hours day, twelve hours night. I would love to hear more of you C. Basinet!
