Do you need to purchase an adapter to use w/ an Ipod?

Not for the iPod touch. I didn't have any issue connecting to an iPod touch 4th Gen.

As long as your iPod has Bluetooth you are good.

If you are using an iPod with Bluetooth you won't need anything to use these.

If you have an ipod touch you will not need one. You might need to have one if you have an ipod classic, though I am not too sure if it will work.

I use it with the iPhone 5, paired it through Bluetooth, no adapter needed, works well.

Danielle ,as long your IPod or device have Bluetooth connection you don't need any adapter , my experience is related to my IPhone and IPod touch don't know about other kind of device , hope this help you , by the way to me this is the best wireless earphones in the market

If you have an iPod with Bluetooth built in then no. If you don't have Bluetooth then you have to buy a transmitter that plugs into the iPod charging port.
