5.0 out of 5 stars Oh wow - At last!!! Had trouble finding this thing. July 18, 2012
Format:Vinyl
Short version: 5 stars.

I had a bootleg cassette copy of this in the early 80s, which I justified by telling myself that I'd buy the album the first time I saw it available. I lost that copy, and never saw it for sale till now. I never mourned a lost thing like that before or since. That was great music and I'm really up right now, seeing that I at last have found, bought, and own a copy.

This album, which I barely remember, impacted my life to a degree eclipsed only by my original "discovery" in 1971 of Larry Norman's work. In the short while I had it, I played it at least a hundred times without getting tired of it. It was timely, yet I remember that its themes were timeless, speaking of purity, redemption, and life as it ought to be lived in a genre that rocked, wailed, ripped, and one could almost say "thrashed" itself into my heart forever. After I receive, rip, and listen to my old friend again, I may try to post some details re content. For now, I'll just sign myself off as "Ecstatic in Dixie".
