I haven't seen Madagascar 3 yet, so I don't know how well this storybook matches the movie, but it does seem to be the same kind of madcap adventures the animals experienced in the first two movies.

The images look great, and using the actual voice actors from the movie is a nice touch. It's the next best thing to watching the movie.

I'm a bit disappointed, however, that there is absolutely no interactivity. You would think that a digital storybook based on an animated cartoon would have some animation, but no, the images are completely static. The app does not even offer pronunciation when you tap on a word in the text. With a normal price of $3.99, I'd expect a bit more.

My kid loves this book. It is not suppossed to be interactive. For goodness sakes people, teach your kids to sit still for 5 min and do something that requires using their brains. Sit with them while they are reading it and spend some quality time with them. That said, good story, nice graphics, and an all around enjoyable book.

When first looking at the app, thought it would be fun, but it turned out to be nothing but a narration of the movie, more designed for children, or young people with children, or grandparents. Don't fit any of these categories.

What I did read of it discouraged me from going to the movies, and I have actually enjoyed the prior Madagascar movies, albeit, I did take young children to see them, and maybe the enjoyment came from their enjoyment, more so than my personal taste in the movie.

I won't discourage anyone who may want to get the app, but be aware, it is designed for the young and probably the more "young at heart", than I guess I am.

I must say this app does not begin to compare to other storybook apps on android. It has some boring stills that are not interactive or in any way interesting. The voice reading is boring and the color choice is dull. I've had some Oceanhouse books that are great and have yet to bore my 3 year old. Little critters book series is great so are the Dr. Seuss books many are less than half of the cost.

Well I dont understand why there are bad reveiws. It did what it was supposed to and that is that. >.< yes some are complaining about how it wasnt exactly like the movie. But people, did it do what it was supposed to? YES IT DID. Please stop the bad reveiws. The app was worth the money.
