simple cheap image scanner
Item delivered matches photo in every way except brand. Listing pics show "iScan", product received is "MUNBYN". Pair of "AA" cells installed, hold power button to turn on, press power button to start scan, smooth continuous dragging across a flat page, pausing causes it to 'save file'. Plug into computer to access the usual DCIM directory, image seems slightly dark, can see the magazine print texture, reverse side print showing through (this is reduced by using a dark surface underneath, such as a sheet of black cardstock, to limit through reflection). Hold power button to shut off. It works, not impressive, I intend it for mobile use grabbing reference images and sketches (quality scanning is done on my large flatbed desktop scanner). Would be fine as an entry-level scanner for children or people deciding if it would be useful in their work processes. Will find out how dependable it is during future use.
