I am a former Family Practice doctor who is now a medical writer. I created these books to explain complex and often frightening medical conditions in simple, easy to understand, language, as well as to discuss current medical topics that have appeared in the news. My purpose is to demystify the often confusing procedures to equip you with the knowledge and understanding, so that you can partner with your doctor and other health care professionals on your team, to get the best possible outcome for the health of you, your family, and your loved ones.
I received my MD degree from the Temple University School of Medicine, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I completed my Family Practice residency at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pennsylvania. My hobbies are reading, classical music, and travel.
I am proud that my father, Ira Krakow, is collaborating with me as the Editor for these books. Since he is now retired, he is able to help me do all the technical stuff. You'll see his name on my books, as the editor.
