I was born James F. Timmins, and still live along the beaches in Southern Maine. I own a publishing company called Harbor Beam Publications to promote my writings. Visit www.haborbeam.com for more information.
I wrote my first novel while beside my youngest daughter in the hospital as she went through Chemotherapy. She is a beautiful young woman today and adorns the cover of Marketable. My oldest daughter, a strong independent woman and Maine Guide, is on the cover of HomeGrown. Her lifted Jeep Wrangler was part of the cover shot. My middle daughter will be the cover model for the 4th novel in the series, Executive Princess. Her creativeness could lead to a very interesting cover. The 5th novel is set to depict a young Jack Chamberlain played by my son (yes, four children). He is becoming a strong and handsome young man that will do the young Jack Chamberlain justice. This is a planned retro novel about Jack's early years on the police force.
I freely admit to being a patriot and great lover of the American way of life with all its amazing attributes and flaws. We truly live in the greatest country on earth. I am also a romantic. The greatest gift my sweetheart can give to me is a beaming smile, with a sparkle in her eyes, as she looks at me. A man recently came up to us and told us he loved watching us look at each other. Love shines through and warms us all.
I have come to love Jack Chamberlain and Claire Sanchez, the main characters in this detective series. Their playfulness, banter, and sexuality are a joy to write. They have become far from words on the page but have truly come alive in the readers imaginations. The deep love they share for one another grows with the each novel. May all our lives have such love.
