J E Pearce is expert at nurturing creative ideas and helping others to abundantly do the same. Her fondest wish is to help others enjoy their own artistic version of the good life and she delights in sharing, via her richly coloured e-books and teaching groups, the experience she has gained while finding a path to do what she loves. As part of her own simple life, she enjoys crafting beautiful things by hand for others. She has also been an organic gardener for over 25 years, which she teaches in her colourful online "grow food" tutorials from her home in rural New Zealand where she shares timeless, seasonal philosophies which she believes should include that life is art and so, therefore, should gardening be.
She designed well-used fonts, juleslove (an ode to American artist and social activist Keith Haring) and jules-te-reo (her own handwriting) and a few others. She also studied children’s literature at Canterbury University and has illustrated and written several picture books for children.
She has been a compulsive artist since art saved her life in the mid 1990s, and before then, she was just an artist needing to learn how to live her life in colour.
