FROM MY BLOG: "Who is Mozelle? I was not always sure how to answer that question. I could always (and easily) give you a professional bio without hesitation. Since 1997, public relations professionals have written it for me; I just had to memorize it, and remain that person in public. I had managed to stay focused on my career so much that, without any awareness at all, I was able to dodge who I was personally... but that didn't work out so great for me.
THE statement that struck me like a lightning bolt was: "People absolutely love you professionally, but personally, they don't like you at all". I played that over and over in my mind... it basically haunted my thoughts.
To those of you who know my story, it may seem strange that a simple sentence like that would bother me so much, if at all. One may think after my movie-like life, those mere words would just roll off my back. Truth is, that statement probably hurt me more than all of the abuse and bullying put together."
