Lights light up whether phone is plugged in or not. Makes the inside of the car kind of bright to use at night while driving though. So I just use it at my desk at work.

I’m happy to report that this still works (lights up AND charges phone) just like it did last year. We just got the Christmas decorations down from the attic, and I plugged in my iPhone X, and it still works great!

Not a lightning pin connector! In the photos it shows it has a lightning pin, mine did not look like that. This doesn’t even fit in my phone! I’d give it 0 stars, waste of time and money , will be returning.
