How do you de-activate the IR lights? It lights up like a Christmas Tree! This product fails in its mission to be stealthy.

You can't. Thus the claim that this is a "hidden camera" is completely false.

Almost all night vision IR lights emit a red glow when they are active and recording in the dark - that's just how they work. Without the IR lights, it wouldn't be able to record in the dark. You can cover them up with black electrical tape if you didn't want to use the night vision function, but then you'd be better off just buying a non-night-vision camera in the first place and saving some money.
