My JVC car stereo with broken PCB traces was making my big double din display flicker. So this old tech attempted to use fine wire and solder but with these new surface mount boards, that proved futile. So I looked around for pcb repair kits and stumbled on this product on Amazon. Had no idea such conductive glue existed. Worth a shot...........
After prepping the board (by widening the spaces between traces with razor blade, scraping off coating, then cleaning with alcohol) and using a good lighted magnifying glass, I carefully applied just enough glue to bridge all 3 broken trace gaps. After letting dry in the sun for a couple hours, installed back in my car and bingo - everything works perfectly and has for several weeks now!
This stuff isn't for the novice, and you have to be careful you don't get glue anywhere else (it comes out of the needle fairly fast with the slightest pressure on the plunger). But, short of buying a replacement board ($80 for my stereo), this is probably your best option. Stuff apparently shipped from China but came in a couple weeks, exceeding my expectations. For a few bucks you can't go wrong.
