About the Author
Elizabeth Dutton is an expert in smiling, as she does so quite often. While to some this may look as if she is simply a grinning idiot, she is confident that in even the darkest moments, there is something out there to smile about. A Californian who has found refuge in the South, she has a couple degrees from a couple of schools and writes constantly, which also makes her smile.

no! sillies, i'm smiling because i've just read 1,033 reasons to smile by elizabeth dutton for the billionth time and yes, it's that wonderful! just hear me out... have you ever wanted a book that was just so witty, snarky, and sweet that it could magically bring you out of any dark-cloudy funk you were currently stuck under? well look no further dear friend... this book is it. after reading the first few pages, you're worries will melt away and you'll be reminded of all those things in life that made you happy and soon YOU'LL be smiling too. :D
in closing, i'd like to quote the late, great ricardo montalbán and say "smiles everyone! smiles!" because i think it's really relevant here.
Here are some of my favorites from her book
Finding money in your pocket
Sleeping in your own bed after being away from home
Hearing someone is cancer free
Receiving a "thank you" card
Someone you like putting their arm around you
Now I am thinking of my own smiles and here are a few:
My granddaughters spending the night and we eat popcorn and watch movies
A hug from someone I care about
A walk on the beach or on a mountain trail
Gratitude and smiles are all around us. Every moment of each day you can find something to smile about if you are observant. Elizabeth Dutton has shown us it comes in all shapes, events, hours of the day, and places. Read her book for inspiration and make your own SMILE LIST.
I recommend this book for anyone who's had a bad day, or just needs a smile, it will just take an hour or so to read =)
