As indicated in previous reviews, this kit is not complete. There is another add on kit that this same company sells that will give a you a complete kit. It is a great beginner's kit if you are just getting started in wine making and don't know where to start. It has a bunch of wine recipes that are easy to follow. I would also suggest reading books and doing research on wine making before you start. There is a lot of information available.

Everything in this kit can be picked up at any brew shop for about $20. $44.88 is simply over priced for a plastic bucket, a few feet of tubing, a glass jug and a few ounces of basic chemicals that can be purchased each in one pound bags for around $3 each.

Well, it is a nice kit and worth the money, but IT DOES NOT COME WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED!! The item description is inaccurate as it says that it comes with everything you need to make wine except for the fruit, corks, and bottles. This is just not true. You NEED ENERGIZER!!! Especially with the brand of wine yeast that they provide, you need wine energizer or your wine will turn out a disaster and end up smelling like rotten eggs. Wine energizer is right there in the ingredient book they provide as an essential ingredient in nearly every single fruit wine recipe. Why then did they not provide this?? This was very frustrating to me because I had everything ready to go and then discovered that wine energizer was needed. (It also needs sugar and water, but most people already have those so that is no big deal, but they should have mentioned that they also do not include those.)

If the description is going to advertise that the kit includes everything you need to make 1 gallon of fruit wine, they really, REALLY ought to include EVERYTHING YOU NEED. It also is lacking another important tool: A hydrometer. I suppose theoretically it is possible to make the wine without it, but you would be taking a guess for when the wine is ready if you don't have one.

I bought this kit to try some strange wines like banana, tomatoes, mead, etc. in small quantities just to try. Since I already make normal grape wine, I had other stuff and this kit is a nice addition, however if this is a start, you should probably buy a hydrometer too. It would be nice also if the tube had a few more inches long, it is very short to go from a table to the floor. But overall I am very happy. Oh and try the banana wine, it is just awesome!

I strongly recommend that you prepare to do a little research as you will find that there are some steps and other materials you may need. A couple of items were missing in the original shipment but the company quickly responded and sent the items without any further problems. Overall I would recommend the company and product.

Doesnt include everything you need... the included "recipe book" spells that out right away. The recipe book itself is incredibly detailed in what needs to go in and how much... just very vague in when and the proper way to apply... wish i would have looked farther into this before buying fresh fruit for wine, and ultimately i wish i would have made a different purchase instead.

Usually make 5 gallon batches. But, would like to try out smaller batches for different types of wines. Wanted to make Dandelion Wine but season is over. BUT! Strawberry picking season is coming up and looking forward to making my first batch of Strawberry Wine. Perfect for people who don't want to make 5 gallons of wine. Already had people asking me for a bottle of Strawberry wine even though I haven't even started yet!
