depth of the characters, the intricate story line and how easily I was able
to immerse myself in a futuristic world. A. D. Everard is an amazing
writer and I would definitely recommend this book!" I've read the second book and now am now holding my breath for the third installment.
Sci Fi has had me in its nefarious grip since my earliest memory's, but never before have I had such a face full of erotica in any Sci Fi read in my (long) life! That's why I describe this as a 'Brave New Series', its essentially uncharted waters, A. Everard has taken license to add this dimension to her writing, and I have to say, she does it very well. The erotica certainly isn't the focal point of the tale, but it very much adds another interesting dimension.
As a story teller, she has, in my opinion, a long and fruitful career in front of her. I look forward to the next installment due out sometime in July 2013 (I think). I commend The Khekarian Threat to any Sci Fi buff, it'll be a few hours away from the mundane existence we chase while servicing our dreary mortgages... :) (other than that, Life is great!)
I give this 45.8 stars our of 5
This book doesn't work for me as a sci-fi fan, but a fantasy fan might enjoy it more. I have given the Khekarian Threat three stars because it seems to be well written and edited.
It is very well written with characters you care about, right from the start.
This is Sci Fi that is not dry or overly technical.
A touch of humor and a touch of romance make it very enjoyable.
I am not often a sci fi reader, I just appreciate any book that is well written
and enjoyable to read and this is both!
