Ok, but not 12 inc.
I never used the light, I opened it and noticed that the size didn't fit my tablet. I measured my tablet and it was 10.5..and then I realized my mistake in ordering, but not before measuring the light and realizing it's not 12 inches at its widest parts but closer to 11.5. And remember to consider the inner circumference is about 2 in smaller...around 9 or so.

Due to this global pandemic, like many, I need to work from home, and I've found that the lighting in my home -- though pleasing for normal life -- is definitely not conducive for telecommunication and distance learning. Prior to using this tripod & ring light setup, I was either seemingly in the dark, or washed out from excessive light. Basically, I had a pretty lousy set up. So, I needed to rearrange my home (with the sheer number of meetings and classes I needed to attend/run weekly, logistically, that was really NOT what I wanted to do), OR I needed to purchase a lighting set up.

This has been the perfect solution. I can stay in my office, and still have excellent lighting for faculty, department, and team meetings, classes, and conferences. And, now, I look like I actually know what I'm doing. The set up was a snap. My first time set up literally took me less than two minutes straight out of the box (including reading the directions), and it allows me to either use my cell phone (should I want to go mobile), or my laptop, and of course, it'd work with a camera, or camcorder as well, though that's not what I bought it for. I appreciate that it has a handy remote, and the adjustable tripod is great. The whole setup is lightweight, but surprisingly well-made and sturdy, and it works beautifully. Frankly, it's nice to be able to just focus on my work, and not have to feel like I need to hassle with the technology. It sets up in seconds, and I'm good to go. The price is very reasonable as well, which is a plus on a teacher's salary I only wish I bought it earlier. It's worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Extremely happy with this product and the vendor who sells this product. Its easy to set up and use - you don't have to be a social media influencer or in to taking selfies with this "selfie ring light" to benefit from this product, particularly during a time when we are all forced to telework and/or connect virtually. I like that this light has three different light filters that range from soft lighting to extremely bright, which makes it the perfect lighting for every occasion ranging from virtual conference calls to virtual happy hours. Also, the stand that comes with the ring light is super easy to set up and has adjustable height options. Additionally, there's an attachable smart phone holder that can be placed in the center of the ring light, which gives you the option of using that feature to hold your smart phone in place. Alternatively, you can just use it as a light while using another device. I decided to update my initial review because although I was very happy with this product when I first received it, for some reason the ring light just stopped working after less than 3 months of using it. Can't explain it. Worked perfectly fine for the first several weeks and then one day the light simply stopped working. May have been a factory defect. I immediately contacted the seller and after a few of days they sent me a replacement ring light - no questions asked and there was no requirement to return the defected ring light. Since I've received the replacement ring light it has been working perfectly. I currently telework and I am in meetings all day long - this light provides the perfect amount of lighting with flattering filtering options, which I can appreciate after being in meetings all day long. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs "good lighting" particularly while operating in a virtual environment.

I couldn't have broadcast my Facebook and Rumble live vlog without this ring light. The overhead lighting in my room just wasn't sufficient, and lamps made me look like a ghost. This is a great investment. It is sturdy, stable on a hardwood floor, and adjusts to both tall and short heights. You can put it on a desktop or you could sit in front of it. You might even be able to stand in front of it if you are an average woman's height. A really tall man wouldn't be able to stand in front of it unless he backed way up. It has three light colors: a fluorescent white, a warm yellow, and a color is somewhere in between. You can adjust the brightness, as well. It also comes with a remote. Well worth the investment.

Lighting is extremely important for photography and video, and if you are creating social media content this is a very convenient tool as it works as an LED lamp, a cel phone stand/tripod which extends to an insane 50 inches, and also includes a remote control for your phone camera. Super useful.

This product in particular sits right in between feeling quiet sturdy and being affordable enough. It doesnt feel super cheap but it also does feel like it could break if not handled carefully.

The actual ring light I must say is very bright and you can do a lot with it, but its not necessarily a studio level kind of brightness. It has a USB cable for power, which is pretty cool because even a USB Power Bank will be enough to power it, or you can find an adapter (not included) and plug it in the wall. Any old cel phone charger adapter should work. The cable also has buttons to change brightness and light color from 3 options. I do appreciate that you can switch between white light and a warmer tone, can surely set a different vibe for your photos and videos.

The tripod is probably my favorite part, it can be placed on a table when retracted but if you fully extend the legs to the longest possible it can stand tall on the floor. You can definitelly play with different heights and see what works best for what you are doing.

In conclusion this is a great product for casual creators but it is probably not the best option for more serious ones.

I gotta say, I haven't been this happy with a purchase in a LONG time!

It's a well built tripod with minimal assembly needed. The quality is outstanding. Every screw is sturdy. The joint is just the right tightness - I bent it to just above the 90 degree angle, and it retained its position. Light works great. The light has 3 settings (bluish white, white, and yellowish white). The light controlling remote works as it should - powers on/off, + button brightens the light, - button dims it. The most important part - the phone holding attachment. Screws on just fine onto both the light, and the tripod itself. I stuck my phone in the attachment for smartphones, and it didn't fall back out. Perhaps, I should earthquake test it too? Nah, maybe that'll be taking it too far. Lulz.

There ARE two things that I haven't tried though. The first is a remote for iOS/Android. I don't know what it does, and I doubt I'll fiddle with it. The second thing is the height adjustment on the legs. I'm using this in a tabletop top-down setup, so doubt I'll mess with that either.

Apart from the two things that I haven't tried, everything else is well made, and works as it should. The quality on it is great.

Of course, nothing can be perfect, so here's my only con - the phone attachment requires you to screw for the tightness. I was kind of hoping it would be a self-retracting springy attachment. However, definitely not a deal breaker for me. I am certainly happy with this, and look forward to making content with it!

It doesn't work! I don't think the ring light should break after only two months of use!!! I've used it properly since I purchased the product. What is the warranty for the product? It's only 30 days to send it back. Mine broke after 1.5 months. There is only email support, and they replied with just a standard answer. I emailed twice and asked about the warranty. The answer was that it has a 1-year warranty, but nothing more about how I can get my money back... Poor, poor, poor!!
Now I have to buy another ring light... :(
