I think we all get one of those. "
Too sweet and I love it! High school sweethearts Cammie and Dalton were a match made in heaven. Jenn Sterling made my heart do flip-flops a hundred times.
This is an easygoing read, not too much drama but still equipped with the right kind of sad parts where I almost had panic attacks when Cammie did. Lol. 10 years later was such a refreshing read and it will just put a big smile on your face after.
A book for all ages, we can all relate to Cammie and Dalton. Who didn't have a high school sweetheart? Well if you didn't, maybe you had that one person you couldn't really forget. This is the book for you. Jenn Sterling will tickle your heart and make you believe in second chance love.
Ps: Best ending ever!
So when the book starts we have Cammie working at a radio station, when the radio hosts drag her into the booth to grill her about her 10 year reunion. The only thing is the hosts have no idea how the only reason why Cammie is going is so that she can see Dalton again, that is if he shows up. Cammie is a sweet girl, and she is just so easy to like. I mean she really is the whole girl next door persona, and she does it so genuinely that you just can't help but want her to get her happily ever after. Cammie does have some serious heartache in her past that definitely comes to haunt her when it comes time for her to try and build a relationship with Dalton. That being said it was nice to watch her journey unfold. Also she has an awesome best friend, the kind of friend I wish every girl could have, she shows up whenever she is needed, sleeps over when her friend is in a bad way, and always calls Cammie on stuff when she is avoiding stuff. Hands down best best friend ever.
So Dalton is a pretty interesting guy, and he is definitely in a complex job situation. He too only wants to go to high school reunion because he wants to see Cammie again. She impacted his life in ways she doesn't even know about, including why he went on to be a cop after high school. Dalton currently is an undercover cop, which of course is going to make things a little bit more complicated when it comes to giving a relationship with Cammie a try. I loved how patient Dalton was, and how overwhelmingly sweet he is. He also had a kind of adorable obsession with chocolate chip cookies. He's a hot cop with a heart of gold, what more you want in a hero.
So the reason why I only went with three stars on this book and not four was the ending. For me everything just wrapped up a little to fast and easy, I think as a reader I like a little more drama and a little less sugar, but hey that's just me. But if you like a sweet romance, then this might be the perfect book for you, either way I enjoyed it and will definitely be reading more of J. Sterling's work in the future.

The two broke up over a prom misunderstanding in high school. Neither has talked to each other in the last ten years.Read more
