After only 2 and a half months, the Pound returns with their 10th group album, and another worthy of 4 stars. After 18 years in the game, these are 2 well known and consistent west coast vetereans with a slew of releases under their belt. Just of albums that I own/know about: Daz has 11 solos, 4 Daz "Presents" albums/compilations, a group album with 2Pac & 2 group albums with JT the Bigga Figga and Kurupt has his 8 solo's and 4 other group albums (one each with: CJ Genavece {Tha Originals}, DJ Quik, Roscoe, and J. Wells), so each has 2 dozen plus albums to their name. As far as their group albums go:

1995 - "Dogg Food" (4.5/5 stars)
2005 - "Dogg Chit" (4.5 stars)
2001 - "2002" (high 4 stars)
2001 - "Dillinger & Young Gotti" (high 4 stars)
2010 - "Keep On Ridin" (high 4 stars)
2009 - "That Was Then This Is Now" (4 stars)
2002 - "The Last of Tha Pound" (4 stars)
2005 - "Dillinger & Gotti II" (low 4 stars)
2006 - "Cali Iz Active" (low 4 stars)

This one has 16 songs, 1 is a classic, 1 is a near classic, 1 I skip, 5 are ok, and the other 8a re good or real good songs; leaving it as this could have been a high 4 or 4.5 star album had they just made it a 12 song album and left some guests off (guests are on half the songs, rapping on 6 and doing the hook on 2). Production is nice for the most part, and handled by the usual that they've been using the last few years. Daz Dillinger & Soopafly each do 6 songs, Ivan Johnson does 3, and Troy Sanders does 1. A nice album to have from some legendary veterans in the rap game.

#2 - 7.5
#3 - 9.5 (tight beat)
#4 - 9 (f/ Soopafly -- nice beat)
#5 - 10 (CLASSIC with great beat)
#6 - 8.

I am a big fan of the group. I though this album was going to have to be classic status considering the qaulity of their recent efforts. Lyrically you already know that Kurupt is going to bring it so it's really a matter of how good or bad Daz does. On this album it was so so. there were not alot of tracks that stuck out int my mind. As a matter of fact there were only 2.The production end of the spectrum left alot to be desired. Which was what really hurt the album just a whole bunch of average beats with greeat ryhmes from Kurupt, but so so ryhmes from DAZ. Still if I don't regret purchasing the album then its atleast a worthy entry.

It sounds rushed compared to previous albums.

This is Daz & Kurupt's best album since 2001's Dillinger & Young Gotti. This album is so versatile with the beats & music. Kurupt is rejuvenated on this album with the skills. So many tight joints it's hard to single out one. If u like the raw gangsta, they got it, but if u like the laid-back gangsta they also got that.
