Graham Davis is a former Art Director of Time-Life International. He was also art director of the Illustrated London News and Good Housekeeping magazine. He has been a design consultant for numerous magazines including Woman, Melody Maker, and Radio 3 magazine. He has also lectured on co-edition publishing and art direction at the London College of Printing.

He is also founder of iPadCreate which as the name suggests is the creator of magazine and book apps and highly visual ebooks for the iPad.

I am in process of returning this item. It was received with at least ten neon post it notes bookmarking various pages. I thought it quite costly for a used book but was more upset that all but about ten pages were in another language. The first four or five pages were in English, with just a few short comments throughout the book being in English as well. I have no idea what the rest of the comments next to various fonts said. I also found the content of fonts not suited for my projects. If any of the unreadable text was history or use of fonts, it did me no good.
The other reviewers spoke highly of this book. I saw no mention of it being in another language. Did I miss something?

This is a very compact book. There is a medium sized display, small displays and text versions for each font. I find it very helpful if I need to compare time for text use before actually purchasing a font. I also like to be able to see the small size for hand drawn use. Probably not a book if you are looking for headline displays, however.
