But don’t think that this book is only about nutrition. It gives you advice on how to make better decisions for your life, that benefits the mind, body, and soul. It talks about all kinds of “toxic thinking”, that can be just as bad for your health as eating poorly. People don’t normally think about mental health when they think about physical health, but having poor mental health can take a toll in other areas of your life.
I think that almost everyone could benefit from reading this book. Even the people that already live fairly healthy lives could use this as both as a reminder of why they do it, and a host of new ideas to incorporate into their lives. I highly recommend it.
The 101 secrets will cause you to soul-search your own lifestyle where Lynne covers more than diet, nutrition and exercise giving us a chock-full awesome manual of life changing resources. But in addition, there are wonderful thoughts on breathing, recycling, controlling your schedule and my favorites allergies, nature and visualizing your dreams.
I can’t get enough or say enough about how exceptional this book is. Lynne is not a teacher, but a friend for support for life as we begin our own journey to change our lives combining the concept of mind, soul and body. Lean in close and allow Lynne to whisper her wonderful secrets in your ear and you’ll never be the same again!!
I have to say, one of my favorite things about this book is how everything is laid out. It’s all very simple to understand and I don’t feel the need to look up all the special terms like I would in other health books. The author makes things very clear (yay pictures) and has a natural voice that flows off of the page.
I love a lot of the ideas presented as I’ve seen them other places too. The 5 ingredient rule is my personal favorite, but it kind of knocks out a few of my favorite foods. Once I balance out my body with the instructions presented here, I’m sure bad foods won’t even cross my mind!
This book is a must for anyone looking to get a healthier outlook and even those ready to take baby steps towards a better lifestyle.
