I have loved this book since I was a little girl I have the original book which is a bigger book that my mom had but I can’t find it and I wanted my kids to read it even though it’s kind of morbid but I love this book thanks a lot, Tracy

The book isn't terribly much more creative than the sample pages Amazon gives you, and personally, I didn't find any of it particularly funny. I just appreciate the casual hilarity of having this book on display in the office. It takes all of 30 seconds to flip through the book and enjoy the various depictions of cat carcasses. I found a small handful of them to be particularly humorous, but nothing to write home about. Serves my purposes, though.

The title says it all and still brings a smile to my face as well as a hearty chuckle. My parents had this book as a kid. I somehow remembered it recently and decided to look it up and order it. Makes a great coffee table conversation piece! Definitely worth the money and laughs!

Purchased the book for my nephew who heard about the book and thought it was funny, so he wanted to have his own book to look at/read. He loves cats. He thinks it;s hilarious as to what you can do to them. Book came used, in good shape. Shipping could have been faster.

This is such a classic book. I have a 30-something co-worker who never saw the book. While helping him move, he told me stories about his Mom, who is apparently a "crazy-cat-lady" with way too many cats. (His words, "One more and it's hoarding." I'm sure he's kidding.) Anyway, he doesn't much care for our furry, four-legged little friends. Worse for him? He needed to find an apartment that would allow cats, since his live-in girlfriend owned cats. Poor guy. At least I was able to put a smile on his face!

I gave this to my boss for the holidays and it was a huge hit. He's not a fan of felines, something about an allergy or something, whereas I'm a huge fan of the kitties. This dynamic has led to some good natured jabs and ultimately the giving of this book.

I bought this when it was first published decades ago. Recently, I bought a recent copy for a young friend who never saw the original. Of course, I read it again. The cartoons aren't meant to be serious but they are good therapy after a long day. Most are easy to understand so you can go through the book quickly. It's like eating a bag of popcorn. Once you start, you can't stop. I recommend it to anyone who needs to smile.

Love this book. Had it when I was a younger man, bought it for a friend. Love the pictures... I love cats too, but still... it's funny!

This is so funny. Bought as a present for my partner for Christmas and he also absolutely loves it.

Bit tounge in cheek really, I bought this as a joke for a friend who had an unfortunate experience with a cat. I don't by any means think losing a pet is funny but certain life experiences require a bit of sick humour to make it through

It's funny, although not nice for cats
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 6, 2015Verified Purchase
It's funny, although not nice for cats, but fair enough for all birds because cats don't need to hunt birds at all and because the human population of the UK suffers of feline madness. No harm done to any real cats, but they should be nuted and castrated to keep numbers down, and those outside must have at least one bell on the collar to give birds at least the chance to escape.
