I love this. I recently bought a Vizio smart TV for my room and when I had everything set up I noticed their is no VGA port. First I thought maybe I can just get a cable that will transfer the signal over to the TV via VGA to HDMI. Well actually I bought a DVI cord first thinking it was VGA but anyways bought the cable found out that I need a converter box to transfer the signal. Looked online boxes were going for above $50. I pretty much said to myself looks like I'm gonna have to start burning Dvd's until I came across this. I read the reviews and was somewhat scared to get this. But I decided what the heck, I'll go ahead and do it. Got it in the mail, hooked up everything, and poof it works. I dont use the Audio part just for the fact that I have speakers that connect directly to my computer tower. But as far as the picture goes, it's amazing. Just remember that this converter is for VGA from a computer to the HDMI of a TV. If that's what you need, then for sure get this box. It's small, puts out a blue light, weighs very light, and in the back it looks like to could hang this on the back of a dresser or wall. Good price too. Better than paying for a $75 converter that will do the same thing.

WOW! It really works. I was hesitant but decided to buy this. Took a while for
the vendor to ship it but arrived pretty fast once shipped. Easy hook-up to my

cables but I had all that I needed.

This is exactly what I needed to connect my older laptop that only had a vga port to an hdmi hookup on my tv. It is definitely worth the few extra bucks because it is sturdy and easy to use with no hardware. I would suggest buying a good heavy duty vga to vga cord w/ sound with this product but only because it makes it more reliable. There wasn't any programs that needed to be installed which was a plus. I would recommend this product over and over again. *****On a side note I saw several listings for vga to hdmi cords along with this product. Those cords will not work if you are needing to connect the computer to a tv. This converter is needed in order to convert the vga (analog signal) to hdmi, with the cord it may send the signal but it will not be received. It is best to spend a few extra bucks buying something you absolutely know will work rather than trying to save more on something that may or may not.

It works OK but the quality is not really vivid. I see that it is a bit blur if I use high definition on my desktop property setting. I would advice against if you intend to use the TV as a working LCD with this equipment. Watching youtube movie is OK though.

First off, the product I received isn't even the same brand as the one I ordered. Secondly, it doesn't work very well. The audio constantly hums when there isn't any sound playing which is beyond annoying.

Worked exactly as intended.
Although my old ThinkPad struggled with my 1080p monitor when switching over and playing video. But that isn't this devices fault at all. It's all on the laptops inability to understand 1080p in the first place.

In any case, I'm finding many more uses for this little thing.
Great product so far. Although it does get a little warm while sitting there.
I've had other devices melt on me. Literately melt. So that paranoia had me unplugging this thing when it got a little warm.
But some heat is to be expected.

The short of it: Didn't look like what I ordered, Spotty video, and a mono "stereo" connection.

The item I received looks nothing like what is pictured, and I instead received a cheap, white plastic case that was in two halves with the components outside when it was delivered inside the box. I reassembled it and, despite having a great many misgivings at this point, gave it a shot and it worked but has a few issues which is why it receives a 2 star rating from me (not counting the condition it was in when I received it).

First off, the video connection is spotty. When it works it works great, but when it wants to give you a tough time, it reeaaaaally gives you a hard time. I spent a couple hours fiddling with it till I discovered that if the video is flickering on and off all I had to do was unplug the power supply, wait 20 seconds and then reconnect it and it would behave.

The second issue is the "Stereo" Audio. While, yes, it is a stereo audio jack, I was only ever able to achieve full stereo by putting the 3.5mm plug half way into the audio jack which results in a loose connection and any vibration will shake the plug loose resulting in loss of audio. Plugging the 3.5mm cable in fully will yield mono audio on the left side only.

So there's potential here, but A: I didn't get what I thought I was getting, and B: It doesn't work like I had hoped it would.

At first I wasn't sure if it was going to work because of the low cost to buy it... But it works really well for what I do. I would give five stars if it wasn't all made of plastic. And don't use cheap hdmi cables.
