Tarpley shows that the wars on the Islamic world, the Soviet-Afghan, Kosovo and Chechen conflicts, as well as US-UK-NATO synthetic terror incidents like 9/11, Beslan or 3/11 in Madrid, have been contrived to continue the Cold War, in pursuit of the centuries-long campaign for Anglo hegemony over Eurasia and the world.

The preface to the second edition explains the significance and superiority of "MIHOP" vs "LIHOP," and the many drills on 9/11 and on 7/7, which were cover and conduit for those false-flag operations.

The third edition preface makes clear that 9/11 is the only issue that can stop a new world war and the descent into a police state. It shows up the cowardice of the "left gatekeepers" on this score. The analysis of Moussaoui on trial as a classic weak-minded patsy -- part double agent, part fanatic -- again shows the unique power of Tarpley's mole-patsy model to debunk the lies put out by the war party.

About the Author

The humanist contemporary political philosopher Webster Griffin Tarpley is our most incisive critic of Anglo-American hegemony. As an activist historian he is best known for his George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography (1992), a masterpiece of research which is still must reading. He is a 9/11 Truth Scholar and activist; AB Princeton 1966, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa; Fulbright Scholar at University of Turin, Italy; and MA in humanities from Skidmore College.

He is fluent in Italian, German, French, Latin and Russian. A decades-long expert on international terrorism, his 1978 study for the Italian parliament "Chi ha ucciso Aldo Moro?" (Who Killed Aldo Moro?) broke open the ownership of the "Red Brigades" by NATO's clandestine "stay-behind" networks.

You guys said it before and you are absolutely right......This book is not for the "average reader". You need to possess a higher level of IQ to fully understand what Tarpley is talking about. For those of you who don't know Tarpley, well..let me put it to you this way....This guy may be the most intelligent speaker,writer,journalist and author I have ever heard. His absolute knowledge and mastery of world history is mind blowing ( as I have read many authors ). As for the book, 9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made in USA, Fourth Edition is filled with interesting facts, historical findings and a great review of aspects regarding international terrorism in general. He goes over certain facts revolving around that day and the people involved that make it very obvious that 911 was an inside job. Again the average reader probably doesnt understand the basic foundations of the power structure, the establishment, history of covert CIA operations or the history of false flag events...so i don't expect everyone to accept this book. Most of us have been brainwashed into believing what the government has told us since the beginning. It seems to go against what we conceptualize as normal. As you can see the power elite that control us are very clever and very smart. A matter of fact, most of us are so diverged from reality, that we dont even know what to accept or believe. Wake up and look at the world around you....research 911....want to know the truth and it will find you. But if your scared of reality..your subconcious will always find a way to use denial and justify another possiblity. Time is running out.....[...]
They killed 3000 innocent people on 911...so what makes you think they have nice plans for us?

This book really expanded on the events of 9/11 for me while documenting some similar examples of state sponsored terrorism. I became familiar with the concept of false flags and the extreme measures taken by members of a governmental rogue network in order to achieve certain desired results. Tarpley, among many others, presents a serious challenge to the validity of the 9/11 Commision's official story which tends to make less and less sense. This book should inspire skepticism in major history changing events that all seem to have a pattern. I highly recommend Synthetic Terror to anyone.

Tarpley's book, "9/11 Synthetic Terror Made in USA" is a quasi-scholarly book written for general consumption by the public. While the author grabs hold of specific instances in which the Bush administration utilized either events or, more commonly, threats, to terrorize the public and to obtain its political agenda through the congress, Tarpley insinuates that some of the terroristic events that we experience may be part of a rational design. If half of what Tarpley states is true, we, as Americans, ought to really be afraid and we must wake up. Overall, the writing is captivating, it is written well, and most readers will follow the story from page to page without any problems. An excellent conspiracy theory book that merits a reading by anyone who holds any concern regarding the manufacture of terror and opportunistic use of terror for agenda setting. It's not the most scholarly book and, at time, Tarpley seems to get a little tangential. I'd give this an A-.

I have heard this man's audio interviews, which compelled me to buy the book. He is full of knowledge and well educated. Don't be fooled by the media spin over 9/11 and Bin Laden. The govt. have Bin Lying.
We can see that the face they present on the videos which are supposed to be "credible" have two different Bin Ladens'. One is an older guy with a broader nose and a white beard, the other, taken years later on camera, is a younger man with a slender nose.
Tarpley's book is full of facts, right down to the Gunpowder plot in England.
He has researched his material with meticulous detail.

If you've recently become aware of the 911-truth movement and were lucky enough to stumble upon Webster Griffin Tarpley's book "Synthetic Terror", then let me say that there is no finer book or video on the subject. Mr. Tarpley is virtually uniquely insightful in matters of transgressions against the body politic by the Oligarchy(s) and to say his research is exhaustive is an understatement. I only wish that he had more works available and was more visible in the media. To those who thirst for more Webster Tarpley like myself, you must read his essays on the history of the Venetian Oligarchy and it's post Cambrai war transplantation to Great Britain and the Netherlands. I would love to hear him address the connection of this group to the creation of the stock corporation, which along with private banks and intelligence agencies have become the chief tool of control and oppression of the ruling class in modern times.

Tarpley provides perhaps the most detailed account of why 9/11 absolutley was an inside job. This is as close as you will get to an academic disection of those terrible events. The evidence is exhaustive.
Tarpley first of all provides damning proof of concept with his analysis of a known state-sponsored terror cell - Operation Gladio. Operation Gladio provides documented proof that western governments (mainly Uk & USA through NATO) carried out assassinations and attacks on trains and school buses. This subdues the "I can't believe our government would..." reaction before it has time to take root.
The one piece of evidence that is difficult to debunk are the sheer number of drills and exercises which mirrored the real plot. Tarpley hypothesises that these drills are a cover for the real plot. Only small changes are necessary for the atack to "go live."
Why were the hijackers trained on US military bases?
Why did NORAD stand down?
What did hit the Pentagon?
How can 3 steel-framed buildings all collapse at free-fall speed without having been rigged with explosives?
9/11 was an inside job!

This is a very interesting book crammed with facts and anomalies on 9/11.I read it some years back and it still stands the test of time.All the info is given crisply without grandstanding and each page is densely packed.Tarpley is obviously steeped in his subject, it would be very difficult to read it and not be changed.I dip into it from time to time as you cannot believe the 'coincidences' that were supposed to have taken place that historic day.The mere number of military exercises that morning (the most in history apparently!)which took Norad's and others eye of the ball is telling as all must have been planned long in advance.Frankly i think it will be too much for a lot of people as it kind of bursts their bubble about how the world functions.I bought it as a present for a friend who at first was enthusiastic about reading it, but then never mentioned it again.I would suggest it for anyone who wants their eyes opened...but once opened you will need to look more and consider other unthinkable things, enlightening yet scary as you wonder what other world events are not as they first seem.
