I'm only about 20% through the book but I can already tell you 2 very important things. 1. The facts are interesting and for the most part appear to be accurate (I like to spot check). 2. It needed a much better editor/proof reader. The grammar is atrocious and some of it is very minor but completely breaks the flow. It makes it very difficult to enjoy when you're stumbling over sentences (we read these aloud on car trips). Also, I'm reading the kindle version so the print copy might be better.

This book contains facts from many different disciplines like science, economics, astronomy, and much more. The information given is not monotonous and makes us sharp-minded as well. I am amazed how most of the things given in this book are nowhere to be found in the school textbooks we read. The book has done an excellent job in gathering the most useful information in one place. The information and knowledge which a person would have gained from reading numerous books are available in this single book.

The author has put forth Facts in the most intelligible manner and language. Even the complex facts are easily understandable. This book is a must one to everyone who aspires to enrich their knowledge without juggling with many books.

I am an avid reader who reads to escape from political propaganda. This book begins as a "fact" book that, mid-way through, sneaks in a political attack against more than half of the world. It states that "people who are socially conservative have low IQs and are to be categorized along with racists and homophobic people." I am apolitical and even I thought this was a trashy and ignorant statement. It ruined the whole book in an instant. Apparently, the author, Scott Matthews, is part of this hate-filled, divisive, societal cancer infecting the world today. What a waste!
