These are the same size, and fit well in the Cuisinart water reservoir. The thin plastic ring around the flat base is a bit more flimsy, whereas the original is stronger and less flexible. This filter also seems to be slightly less full of the charcoal filling, but I can't tell if it is that, or if it is because the white exterior casing is a bit thinner? Not sure how these qualities impact effectiveness, but it is probably somewhat degraded. This product's instructions recommend replacing monthly, while Cuisinart filters recommend replacement every 60 days.

Overall, it is a far less expensive replica at $10 for a 12-pack (one year supply), while the Cuisinart brand are $9 for two (four month supply). Still debating whether I will return, but if you're looking for a cheap alternative, these are probably fine.

For the reviewer who threw these out because they're made in China, you may as well throw out your whole house, and I hope you investigate the supply chain of every product you purchase.

Wow I have a new coffee maker

The cleaning light indicator recently came on in our Crusinart coffee maker so we decided to replace the water filters as well. My wife and I both commented the coffee flavor was getting progressively worse and the filter change might help. We ordered these water filters and the next morning when we made the coffee the taste difference was unbelievable. Wish we had done this earlier and I put a reminder on my phone to change water filters on a more regular basis.

The product came with a nice resealable bag to store unused filters and they are individually packaged as well. I highly recommend this product.

Carbon leaks from packet

I normally use the "PURE GREEN 12-Pack of Cuisinart Compatible Replacement Charcoal Water Filters for Coffee Makers - Fits all Cuisinart Coffee Makers" but tried these to cheap out. After each use I remove the filter from it's holder an let it dry thoroughly before use next morning. When I set it on the counter to dry I noticed grey-black coloring of liquid on counter coming from the filter. The Pure Green filters do not have this issue. All this said I suppose the carbon won't hurt you but I prefer not having such leakage. Also these are narrower than the Pure Green and easily rip if you are not careful. I decided to re-order the Pure Green.

Humans may be carbon based but I don't know about chokin' down carbon particles each day with my morning brew.

Oh yeah, these come in a fancy plastic bag with each filter in it's own smaller fancy bag while the Pure Green come in a generic clear plastic bag with each filter in a generic smaller bag. Paid less for fancy packaging with these but got apparent lower quality.
