I waited a full year before I ordered my next set of dishes because I have children.... of course there's only one option for me which is Melamine (durable non-breakable & MORE IMPORTANTLY AFFORDABLE ALTERNATIVES TO SINGLE COUPLES DINNING WEAR ....WHO GET THE LUXURY OF HAVING STONE OR FRAGILE EVERYDAY PLATES NEVERMIND CHINA LOL)!!
I fell in love with this set but I kept it in my cart for a VERY LONG time( as a mom instinctively I'm thinking IM NOT ENTITLED TO EVEN CHEAP "NICE" DISHES....or I asked myself how long it would take before one if not all four of my children destroy the only thing I have left that I'm not ashamed of...or even if I take the jump in by myself the set which child is first going to use it for anything but its purpose or destroy it even though it's supposed to be indestructible or close to)..
I deliberately left it in my car probably for several months because I thought it was beautiful I find it rare that I can enjoy a pattern on anything less formal than Fine China or at least stoneware so having the whole house full of Destruction terrorists, who in records time will clearly destroy pieces if not all of this just because Mom finally found a set she really likes LOL
Finally I bit the bullet when you have no more than two matching dishware of any sort it's kind of a treat to await your first full set and although I wasn't looking forward to hosting dinners on it per se I was looking forward to actually having matching pieces with a pretty pattern. It was absolutely amazing that it arrived the very next day and I really thought it was very beautifully packaged it came with a box that had a handle and it had a clear front where you could clearly see the whole set for large plates stacked with for salad plates on top with four poles on top of that which were all tightly wrapped in a plastic cling type Packaging. I left it in the Box for probably four days just looking at the set and enjoying it because I figured as soon as I opened it destruction would begin LOL so today I finally rip it out of the box and to my shock the very first salad plate which is immediately underneath the fourth Bowl is fully cracked missing pieces we're clearly the Bulls were pushed down too tightly or heavily and causing damage to Justice first plate now here's the Dilemma as somebody who waited what feels like years for a nice set do I really want to send back the entire set just to get a replacement set shouldn't there be an easier way to get one plate sent to me? And here's the funny part as a mom who is Major obsessive with cleaning organizing and non clutter IA mediately throughout the outside box so how do I return this set even though I have the interior box which is obviously for stores to display on the Shelf with easy ability to grab and purchase so I go through the first time process of trying to resolve the broken plate issue after all I'm this close to having my first pull set I want to see it through LOL but maybe it's because it's my first time or maybe I'm not seeing it I'm only seeing basically two options I can return the whole set which I just washed and put away the other 11 pieces I was so eager and excited had really put on a lot of suspense just leaving it in the Box these past five days or so the last thing I want to do is pack it all up and send it back never mind where do I get a box how do I package it in a manner so that nothing else gets damaged and who has the time when they have four thousand children do you go and send it back let's be honest I certainly don't and I'm certainly not of Standards to have an assistant who could do it for me LOL so my question is am I missing it is there any way to replace just one little salad plate? And if not I would strongly suggest the option be added because let's face it the overall expense on both ends is quite unnecessary and would definitely save for both parties. I guess if I have no other option I'm going to have to do it but even if just given the option of either a replacement plate or a partial credit or something at least I wouldn't feel so much like the karma bus bit me and by that I just mean go figure I wait all these years to finally have more than two pieces that match I wait all that time to pick out a set to my surprise a promptly rise and I stare at it for days through the box just enjoying the pattern and beautiful pieces and then finally I open it and either have to send it back or function with an 11 piece set! Now I will say it definitely deserves a full five stars and this is why I also ordered a few other miscellaneous pieces in the same material immediately my children have somehow managed to cause permanent slices and let me tell you people my kids are functioning with butter knives where the heck just a crater in a plate come from when using a butter knife question mark however this set I can immediately tell even if it did have a scratch you would probably never be able to tell the pattern and texture are in a manner so that I have full confidence this set will not only last long but look beautiful through it's life with me so for that sake I encourage others to bite the bullet order the set my hope is you don't end up with 11 pieces and one broken shattered salad plate that you just don't even know what to do with it because believe me the thought crossed my mind about gluing it however when pieces are missing and it looks more like a puzzle than a plate the idea of gluing is just not even an option LOL again my only negative is I don't know how to go about an alternative other than sending the whole set back or living with just 11 pieces if I'm missing it let me know like I said I'm an overworked overwhelmed psychotic mother of what feels like four thousand children although in reality it's divided by 1000 but as much as I have lovely children I'm just almost placing bets as to who is going to use the bull as a helmet first, or who is going to make a frisbee out of this plate or how long before this goes missing because it really has been years since I've been able to hold more than two pieces matching in a set don't get me wrong I'm like every other human obviously I buy full sets or several pieces but I guess it's kind of like The Madness of the disappearing socks in the laundry room you just don't know how it's even possible to have 438 socks without a match well that's my story with respect to all dinnerware so I know it's inevitable I'm just hoping buy some higher power I can at least hold it off until after I've gotten to enjoy it a few times over LOL
