social class mattered and those who rejected society¹s rules were punished.
American heiress Leafy Moore doesn¹t really fit in. She has money, a good
family, and a handsome viscount who intends to marry her, but she wants
more. She wants to make a difference in the world, and she¹s found her own
unique way of doing so. She¹ll never be content with tea parties, operas,
and balls when there is so much suffering around her.
Unfortunately, society doesn¹t encourage her at all, and even worse she has
an enemy who¹s followed her from one continent to another, an enemy who¹s
determined to kill her.
I liked Leafy Moore. She¹s a spunky heroine who refuses to wring her hands
and wait on a man to rescue her. She can take care of herself, thank you
very much. I also liked her viscount. He¹s a traditional kind of guy
who¹ll have to learn to see things differently if he wants Leafy.
A likeable hero and heroine, dastardly villains, and a plot full of twists,
turns, and fun make The Twelfth Kiss an interesting read I¹d be glad to
My favorite character was Rafael, and I always wanted to see what was going to happen next with him. It was interesting to see how this author managed to get the hero, Lord Cheltenham and heroine, Relief, together in the end.
