I found this to be a wonderfully written story of Sienna Lloyd, owner of Sienna's Sexy Solutions and a single dad, Jack Beaton, with 4 year old twin daughters, Holly & Katy. Their mother went off the deep end of the pool when the girls were toddlers by turning to drugs & sleeping with other men. When Jack discovered this he knew he had to make some changes & give the girls a better life. After time, he decides to move away and settles in the small town of Potterford. Here, he meets his next door neighbor, Sienna. The scene in which they first meet had me smiling. I don't want to spoil it for you. Sienna is struck by Jack's hotness.
"Jack Beaton might have looked like he should be served between two slices of puff pastry and covered in squirty cream, but apparently also came with a side of baggage."
The girls are just too darned cute. I loved their relationship with their father and Sienna. Katy takes to Sienna quite quickly, but Holly takes some time.
"Katy opened her mouth to speak, but Holly got there first. She fixed Sienna with eyes that could bend metal."
Just reading that line had me smirking.
Sienna has kept herself closed off to relationships since her father's death a few years earlier and hasn't dated in awhile. The development of her and Jack's relationship is sweet and heartwarming. She isn't too comfortable around children, but her feelings change for these two little girls, as well as their dad.
"She was about as in control of this situation as a mouse at a cat dance."
Sienna owns a shop in town which caters to the women who live there and has been quite successful with it. But when her landlord raises the rent, it's time to change her location. She doesn't have many options, but one, her home. I loved how her customers stand by her, as well as her friend Kelsey, who's a lawyer in town. As, you can probably guess, Jack isn't too pleased about this when he finds out. But Sienna feels that she needs to be honest and upfront about what she plans on doing. And I can't fault her for that. I think this made me like her a little more. Sienna's mind thoughts in regards to Jack added to my enjoyment of this story. This author sure knew when to add them in and I could picture these things happening. I'm sure you'll enjoy them just as much as I did. She fights her attraction to him to a degree, but that just goes up in smoke. Because he can't help falling for her either.
"She intrigued him. The sexual prowess that came off her in near intoxicating waves was enough to make a man set up home in a cold shower. Fortunately, experience had made him wise to a woman with a body to turn men's heads. There was little chance he'd fall victim to Sienna's cocoa-brown stare."
Yeah right! I said "Good luck with that Jack." He begins to discover just what a gem he has living right next door. Sienna is committed to keeping her business, staying in town (she's considerate of her customers in staying local), she loves her mom, she's honest, sweet and just a darned good person. She also goes out of her way to support Jack when his ex wants back into his, Holly & Katy's lives. Even when she's not sure what the outcome may be.
Jack is a devoted father, who wants to provide a good and happy life, as well as home, to his girls. He's also scared to death that their mom will come back in the picture. And she eventually does. Do Jack & Sienna overcome their slight roadblocks that are put in their way? I enjoyed every minute of reading to find out if they did and you must read this for yourself to find out also!
Congrats on the release Rachel! I will be reading more from this author and would love to see a story written about Sienna's friend, Kelsey and Mike Scott, the lawyer that Jack consults with when his ex wants to be back in the picture.

What a refreshing sweet, funny, charming and cute sexy read. This is my first read by Rachel Brimble. I had to get used to the setting of
the story cause it is set in England and silly me while reading this, I read aloud in a terrible British accent and silly me again, I'm reading my review in a terrible British accent. I triple dog dare you to do the same. ;) On to the story...
Sienna Lloyd is about to lose it. Her landlord is raising the price of the rent to her lingerie shop to which she can't afford and she doens't know what to do. Then a light bulb goes off and she decides to take her business to her home on 16 Marsden Place. Things couldn't possible go wrong, right. Right?
Enter Jack Beaton, the new neighbor. He's incredibly good looking, charming and a wonderful protective father to twin daughters who are too adorable. The daughters at times stole the show in the story and I couldn't help but laugh at their antics. He moved away from the big city to a small town for a fresh start after his divorce and wants to have a stressless and peaceful life.
When the two meet there is attraction but neither want to admit or attempt anything. Sienna is afraid to get close to a man due to what happened to her father and Jack is afraid to let a woman close because of the betrayal of his ex wife. But what is there is there and it can not be denied. When Jack hears that Sienna wants to open her "sex" shop he becomes very upset and does what he can to not let it happen but what he doesn't know is that Sienna is the sweetheart to the town of Potterford and the residents adore her especially her cliental. Little by little they let the attraction simmer and they FINALLY get together it's very sweet and hot. I will warn you that there is one love scene but no worries it's pretty damn good. What I loved during their courtship is Jack's daughters reactions to Sienna. One absolutely adores her. The other is hesitant and very standoffish. It's cute and funny. And also the funny thing is, is that Sienna doesn't do children so I loved to see her reaction as well and ultimately I fell in love with Sienna and the twins relationship. There's little drama that comes from Jack's ex wife that's resolved but not without a little heartbreak.
The story will leave you satisfied with a smile on your face with the funny, sexy and quirkiness that is 16 Marsden Place.
