Reasonably certain I got this for a Dell Mini computer of some kind. I installed it and it worked for a week or so. But this POS was not returnable once installed.

Alas, I should have thrown away the mni and gotten a ChromeBook instead. Did they have ChromeBooks in 2010? Why are they soliciting me for a review now??

Perfect For What I Needed.

I purchased this drive to repair/upgrade a dead drive in a Dell Mini 9, which originally came with an 8GB PCIE SSD. The 16gb was a nice addition, and it was instantly recognized in BIOS, and booted just fine with my XP/USB install (which was a P.I.T.A., Not the drive's fault). Ordered on Monday, delivered on Friday. Not bad for snail mail. Would order another if the need arose. These guys aren't too bad to work with either, they ship decently fast and it's exactly what you need. If you're ordering this drive, you know what you're looking for, so no fancy box or extra paperwork/instructions are needed. Not more than i can say, it just works. This is the only drive i could find to fit the mini 9 in 16 gig that was in stock and was under a hundred bucks. worked for me. Customer was happy.

Decent for the Price

This SSD works as advertised however it does seem to be slightly slow. It is a good value for the price but its also one of the slower models (something I didn't know at the time).

It performs just great with 1-2 tasks at a time, but it seems like the read/write suffers if you try to do too much multitasking. That said the primary use is netbooks and by nature you most likely don't do too many things at once anyway. Either way it saved the day for the job I had and I'd get another if need be.

Great Bargain; Brought Dell Mini 9 Back to Life

This solid state drive was reasonably priced, doubled the original Dell Mini 9's storage capacity, and brought a previously dead machine back to life. It was easy to install, and readily accepted being partitioned, formatted, the reinstallation of an operating system and required software.

Piece of crap!

Purchased this 16GB SSD on 3/9/11 for my girls dell mini-9.It worked 4 months then died, had over 1600 bad sectors which were non reparable.SSD drives have too many bugs, especially this one! Amazon helped me get a replacement so we'll see how long this one last.
