I have been hooked on this series since First to Die. I pre-purchase every year then just wait till release day when it arrives at my door. LOVE James Patterson and Maxine Paetro's collaboration. Knowing a little about San Francisco I can read and almost see the scene they are describing. Would suggest reading the series from the beginning and get to know the characters as they evolve.
I love this book! But then again I have loved all the Women's Murder Club books. This story kept me intrigued all the way to the very last word. I think he should've added more because I didn't want it to end! Only complaint - having to wait for #17. Thank You Mr. Patterson for another great read and a few hours of R & R & R. (Resting & Relaxing & Reading <so much better than movies.)
The "16th Seduction" is simply the latest in this series of great novels. Patterson and Paetro make an outstanding writing team.
I have grown to love the characters and the inter-weaving of the police drama with the personal life of Lindsey Boxer and her "club mates" -- Claire, Cindy and Yuki.
I wait each year for the next one in the series to be released then can't put it down. Then I have only 362 days to wait for the next ("17th Alternative", maybe).
Who is the genius that comes up with these intriguing titles, anyway?
I , like the many Patterson follower's, couldn't wait for this book to be delivered. Unfortunately, I did not find the story as riveting as others. Joe's injuries allow him to avoid telling Lindsey why he betrayed her. The Nanny sitter is more a Mom, to Julie, than Lindsey. It just seems incredulous that her husband is unresponsive, her toddler daughter requires her care, and Lindsey continues an investigation! The new characters were intriguing but I am still questioning the title.
I found the first half of the book, Conner's story, slow and a bit boring. The sub plot of Neddie's story's clipped along with more excitement but seemed out of place and not connected to the main event. The novel then shifts back to Conner, becomes more interesting, then ends, abruptly. I think the Murder Club series was much better when it was just Lindsay, her gal pals and Martha. Now we hear lot about Julie and Mrs. Rose, the granny/nanny, who miraculously lives next door.
I had not read a "Women's Murder Club" book in a long time. Saw this one advertised on TV and thought I would give it a try. I really enjoyed it. I particularly liked the trial - the bomber was the villain you loved to hate. Posted by Pat Fuchs
I loved this book! Magnificent, superlative adventure! Gripping suspense, lovely romantic interludes, and the ever- compelling interaction of the Women's Murder club. I love the fact the setting of the story takes place in San Francisco! Highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys detective crime novels! ❤️😄👍
Did not live up to the hype. A lot of repetition in the writing, but still a quick, fairly enjoyable read. I am getting a bit tired of the main character. She takes advantage of her neighbor all the time, won't forgive her husband and has an it's-all-about-me attitude. I feel the same about all the women in the murder club with the exception of Claire, the doctor. Will see what happens in the next outing and whether I will continue with this series or not. http://amzn.to/1jI5ZHO
