We have an original model of this answering machine that has been working flawlessly in our business office for many years. When we saw a used one for sale on Amazon.com we ordered it immediately for our home phones. Unfortunately, when it arrived there were sound issues, and messages were often fuzzy and indecipherable. The seller said this must have happened during shipment and that it was fine when he sent it off. He was nice enough to refund our money and we ended up taking it to our local electronics and toxic waste drop-off site. I'd really like to find another working AT&T 1725, because our original is still going strong.
