Love these. Very nice to not have to worry about losing a cap, or remembering to put it back on. Technically, I suppose you do have to remember to retract the tip...
There is a little trapdoor inside the barrel of the pen the opens to the let the felt tip out, then closes when the felt tip retracts, keeping it from drying out.
It works great!
Much more ergonomic than your usual, dry erase marker, but still pretty fat and unwieldy. Hey, what are you gonna do? It's a big hunk of writing felt!
Long lived too...I first bought a set of these several years ago. I only bought this set because my old set was "borrowed". Mind you, I don't use them a lot so I can't vouch for how much ink is in the pen, but the did not dry out over the course of nearly a decade!
