I wasn't impressed by the cover art because the quilting designs were very simplistic and even child like (which I'm not into). However, with more than a dozen designers contributing to the book, the result is a nice mix of motif designs. There are no highly detailed motifs. I would say that the book is aimed to the beginner to intermediate free-motion quilter and the designs could be used on a home machine or long arm.
Each design is shown on two pages and is shown in a half square, a square and a border (which runs across the bottom of both pages. The path of each design is identified and makes it easy to follow the stitching path. I found several design that a really liked and will use and several others that are interesting that I may try in the future. The designers provide some helpful information for each of their motifs.
If I was offered do-overs, would I buy this book again? Yes, even though the price of the book is very off putting, I would buy the book again because there are quite a few designs I will use in existing and future projects.
