You can tell that my copy is old, but it's in very good shape. Whoever owned it before me took care of it.
I was expecting the hymnal with the blue cover because that was what was pictured. I received one with a white cover. The copyright was correct and all my favorite songs were on the right pages so I have no reason to send it back...but it doesn't match my memories of the way it should look and feel. And this was very much a sentimental purchase. But of course I. bought for the interior. I admit I wondered if it has been re-covered with the cover from another edition but maybe there were white ones in more affluent churches or maybe it was a choir edition.
What a joy to see this old hymnal again. It brought back many treasured memories, as I used to lead the singing and praising.
This is a welcome addition to my Christian library.
We enjoy this hymnal. I have had my copy since 1956! The songs are wonderful. I cannot say how many times I
have sat at my piano to relax and the words of these hymns have blessed me over and over again. For sure, "Love Is
