I remember cruising down Melrose avenue in the 90's after seeing a Robert Wiliams show at La Luz de Jesus and ended up at Golden Apple comics. I was blown away at how right on the scene had become at that point. Here was a break away start up comic publisher paying respects to its gods. I think there is a little credit due here for Image. If not for saving the stale hero comics scene at the time, for at least attempting a couple of heart felt defibrillator pumps to its flaccid heart valves.
