Form and Function
A beautiful wooden finish and protective dust cover merge with a front panel that both harkens back to more vintage players and also provides users with convenient, easy-to-use controls.
A Great Record Player
Selectable RPM speeds (33 / 45 / 78) and included 45-RPM adapter let you play all the vinyl records in your collection. Our Auto Stop function will automatically stop the record when the side is finished playing, meaning you no longer have to worry about being distracted and forgetting to manually stop the record.
Vinyl to MP3 Recording
This feature allows vinyl to be recorded and stored as MP3 files. Simply place a favorite vinyl record on the turntable, insert a USB key, press record, and enjoy your vinyl music anywhere, anytime. Remember to use a USB no more than 32GB.
Front-Facing Full-Stereo Speakers
Two 1.5-watt speakers have been tuned for excellent sound balance, and allow those without a stand-alone speaker system a turntable with a great built-in alternative. This turntable can also play MP3s using a USB key. For users with a great sound system at home, this turntable can be connected using the integrated RCA jacks.
Here at 1byone, we stand by our products 100%. This turnable comes with a 12-month guarantee. If any issues arise, we will happily send a replacement on us. Satisfaction is our number one priority, at 1byone.
In consideration of this turntable's complex manufacturing process, power to the built-in speaker has been limited to maintain the speaker's high-quality sound. Therefore, we suggest use of an external speaker for those wanting a better audio experience.
Top customer reviews
The first thing I noticed about this record player was how small it was,but being as small as it is this record player is no slouch at all! Having the option to save my records as mp3's is a great bonus especially if you have records that you do not play often but still would love to hear the mp3 option is ideal. The speakers on this thing are pretty loud and even when i turn it all the way up it doesn't distort which is great.
The record player has a very retro look to it with its faux wood grain and chrome detailing on the front. Theres not a thing about this record player that I dislike. I did find that one of the screws fell out when I took it out of the box. After a quick inspection I found out where it was suppose to go and put it back in place. Overall this record player performed quite well and distributed the sound the records played very clear and crisp. A sample was provided free in exchange for review
I waited a couple weeks to write this review so I could really test it out. The way it is packaged was very nice and secured. When I got thru all the packing materials I plugged it in the living room and started listening immediately. First record I played was a full length 33 1/3 mono. It started right up and sound pretty good but not the best. It played all the way through with no skips and sounded really clean. The thinness of the sound was bothering me though. So I tried a 33 1/3 stereo LP. It was about the same as far as sound. Don't get me wrong, for how big the speakers are they sound really loud, just thin to me. So I moved it into my studio and plugged it up through the AUX out into my studio monitors. There it was!! The sound/tone I was searching for. Played more records as the day went on and all sounded great. One other thing I found was that with 45rpm, they stop right before the end of the song. It's cutting maybe 5 seconds of the song short and only on 7 inch records. I would imagine if that's all I had was 45's I'd be a little upset. I tested 78's also which seem to have the same problem. It's only with 7 inch records that it does this stopping thing. Lastly the recording feature to usb is genus and works great. Doesn't make individual tracks but records it in one long track per side. Which is actually how records should be listened to. I have audio editing software (Sound Forge 11) that I was able to edit the songs into individual tracks from the USB stick.
So all in all it's a great unit for portable playing and recording. I'm really happy with it and would recommend it to any one looking for a turntable that doesn't break the bank and doesn't take up a bunch of room. I hope this helps somebody!!!
the way they recorded these things back then (on records)
I thought this would be a great way to record them onto an Mp3 and preserve them before I ended up breaking them or something.
This is actually a better record player than I thought it would be.
It definitely serves my purpose in recording my records onto digital format but it's actually pretty
nice beyond that.
The needle comes down very gently onto the record. It has an auto stop and return. Supports all speeds. It has it's own speakers and can be used on its own and sounds pretty good actually but can also be connected to your stereo through the RCA jacks in the back. You can adjust the volume when listening on the player itself. When using through your stereo you can still adjust the volume on the player but it doesn't effect the volume on your stereo so you would probably turn the volume down and adjust it on your audio system instead.
It records Mp3 at 128 kbs.
Why? Because of the way big retail chain operates. They want to charge you 80 bucks for something you can get for 40 on Amazon. All because you're in their store and you think their prices must be what it is for a reason. Where here is the good news: They are exactly the same. The motor is the same, the needle is the same, the amp is the same, and the speakers too. This unit offers the quality without the brand tax places like UO puts on their hipster players.
Now onto the player. The sound is big and full, good for if you never plan on getting extra speakers. It is self contained enough that you can leave it on top of a cabinet and forget that it exists. When it plays, it plays like every other player under 100 bucks: Steady. The needle doesn't go back, but for 40 bucks I can live with that. There are adapters for other speed of LPs but 33 is really what I have need playing like all the ones available today.
Extra functions worth mentioning: MP3 player, it plays off of a USB thumb drive the mp3 files you put on it. Vinyl Transfer: you can transfer to a recording source via USB as well, same port. Good for if you want to transfer the high noise floor and the cracks and pops.
At the end of the day, stop playing hipster tax and just buy this instead. Then go to the used bookstore and score some sweet LPs. That way you can flip the Lp every 15 minutes after you sip your artisanal coffee and whiskey.
