Note: It does record the entire album side as one continuous track - Side A of Doby Gray's 1973 "Drift Away" was a single 18.6MB MP3 file.
Perhaps a slight shame it wasn't worked out so the USB recording would somehow detect the pause between each song as a separate track, yet I can't really fault it since I could see how it would be technically unreliable to rely on such a detection and separation. Nor do I mind in the least since in my thinking, it is all about the preservation of the original into a digital format, which includes track sequence and a pseudo A / B side selection.
You have to first place the stylus onto the record, and during that initial pause, hit the USB REC button to start, something that the instructions didn't quite make clear. If you hit the USB REC button before placing the stylus onto the record, you will just end up with an empty file number on the flash drive. You can play back USB MP3 files directly on the turntable, which incorporates track forward/back and Play/Pause buttons on the same little panel.
Additionally, it has Bluetooth IN and 3.5mm Stereo AUX IN port on the back; for external speakers OUT, there are L/R RCA (Red & White) ports, which is a major plus for me, and again surprisingly missing from the product pictures and details (Later Add - Noticed that after my review post, a rear photo showing the ports was added... heh) . I ran the RCA out to my RCA Switch Box & PAC LC-1 knob that acts as a central hub for my living room's system, giving me even bigger sound over the already good sound.
The one thing I am not entirely happy with is the acrylic dust cover. The lid is uncoated, so it does scratch and smudge easily, as well as an odd and somewhat unpleasant CLICK from the left hinge if pushed open all the way. Only have to partially open the lid, well before that hinge piece comes snapping forward, to get to the point it stays open on its own, so really a negligible point. And since this is going up on top of a bookshelf - the sizing of the player is a perfect fit - I am not going to get all OCD about seeing smudges or scratches on the lid. Just having the lid there in the first place is personally needful thing as someone who constantly struggles against the unceasing tide of... cat hair. :p
Still, I suppose I could summarize the entire player as: Great versatility, great sound, great looks... somewhat cheesy dust cover lid. 1Byone really ought to consider putting a clear exterior coat on the lid for future manufacturing runs.
Nevertheless, I do think the overall unit's performance and aesthetics constitutes a pleasurable five stars.

I see a lot of complaints about skipping in some revues but that was not an issue for me after I cleaned my records. Also, my stylus was damaged upon arrival, not sure if it happened at the factory or if I did it so I bought new ones that are in the product link below Audio-Technica AT6011 Anti-Static Record Brushand they work GREAT!
If you're having trouble with skipping or sound quality I promise you it's either your records or the stylus that are dirty or damaged. I brush each album 2 or 3 times with the Audio Technica record brush before each play and use a soft artist's brush (either sable or imitation sable) to gently clean the stylus. If you buy used records or have a habit of touching the surface of the vinyl you should use a lint free cloth and a solution of half distilled water and half alcohol with a dash of finish dish soap to clean them with AFTER brushing them.
I took photos of the stylus after I played a few dirty records and it looks like a fur coat covering the needle. I took the artist's brush, moistened it with the solution and gently brushed away the gunk. Before I did that the needle was skating all over the record, afterwards it played perfectly.
The machine itself works great. Not only does it record your records to USB but you can use it as a bluetooth speaker for other devices and the sound is pretty good!
My only complaint is that you really can't use headphones bluetooth or otherwise. I bought the audio cables that connect to the line out but they don't work for headphones because there's no way to control the volume so your headphone speakers would probably be blown out or it would be totally unusable. You can however plug it into external speakers that have their own volume control but even if you do this the speaker on the record player is not disabled so you would still be experiencing sound from it as well.
Overall, for $130 it's a good deal.Record Player Needle W/ Diamond Tip - 3-pack - Treat Your Ears to Superior Sound Quality - Protect Your Timeless Records - 1000 Hour Life Span Saves You Money - Turntable Needle Installs in Seconds
However, when I tried to use the Roxio program to burn these MP3s into an audio CD I got the following message:
"This is not a supported music file. the following audio formats are supported: mp3, wma, etc."
So Roxio does support MP3, and the files created with the "1byone phono to usb" are designated as MP3 files, yet Roxio does not support the "MP3" files created by the 1byone.
And Windows Media Player also gives error messages when I try to introduce the 1byone "MP3" files.
Not only do the 1byone "MP3" files not transfer, I've also found that if I take the USB stick from the 1byONE and try to play the USB my car, the car video screen says "no data."
Unless I am missing something, it seems that this product works only in a very narrow sense. It seems to work only on PCs and on the built-in 1byONE USB player. The music does not travel! The versatility of such a product is extremely limited and these limitations should have been publicized in the advertising literature on Amazon.
In short, unless I am missing something, the "MP3s" don't burn to CDs, and the USB music doesn't play in cars. Any suggestions? 1byone had no suggestions, because they haven't responded to my emails to tech support.
