I purchased the 60 mile Omni Circular antenna and put it on the east corner of the top of my chimney, about 30 feet up, and it pulls in almost 100 stations. Most don't interest me, but the ones that do come from nearly 50 miles away and are clear and pixelation free. I also use the amplifier that came with the antenna.
According to DTV reception maps on the FCC website, the stations come from the north (~50mi), east(~35mi) and south(~20mi) and the omni-directional lets me change channels without messing with the antenna. There are hills and trees but no mountains between the stations and my home, and I'm in a suburban setting. So far the weather has been good so I can't speak to foul weather performance, but it has been excellent for the stations I watch (mostly the major networks and everything included with a basic cable subscription).
Combining this with the Mediasonic HDTV converter box and a USB hard drive is a total OTA PVR/media player system and makes a basic cable subscription redundant and unnecessary (and I can zip thru the commercials on playback)
Since the antenna is very compact and weatherproof; I just purchased another one to put on a camper conversion as an experiment to see if it can provide reception when I'm in the boonies. We'll see....
Feb 2016 Update: the antenna on the townhouse has been working just fine, no degradation during rainstorms (what little we have) and no other issues.
I installed one of these on my camper conversion and it is also working great. Mounted it on a pivoting mast that puts it down on the roof when driving, but can raise it 40 inches when settled into a campsite. Reception is good when the antenna is in the down position (4" above the roof) but even better when the mast is up and the antenna is 12 feet high. With the Omni-directional antenna I just pivot the mast up and don't worry about where to point it or what channel I'm watching. It's not satellite, so there are places with no reception, but no monthly fee either and it doesn't eat battery power.
I purchased the 1byone 60 Miles Range Omni-directional antenna a month back and finally put it in place. A photo is attached to this post showing the installation. I did the work. May have to put up a guy wire in the not to distant future for safety sake, but we just had a good storm blow through an hour ago that had winds exceeding 40 MPH. The antenna showed little to no movement, and it is just over the peak of my roof. This means it is going to catch a lot of air.
So far I am liking this antenna a lot. I ran it up a pole so it is just above the top of my house, approximately 32 foot high. I am pleased to say that I get 54 stations. With an indoor antenna from the same manufacturer, I was getting 23 stations, with many of them showing snow. Of the 54 stations I pull in now, a few nights ago there were three channels (all PBS) that were a little fuzzy. There was no bad weather at the time. I monitored the stations a few times since then and have had excellent clarity. Not sure why I was seeing snow the other night with the three PBS stations. Right now there is a nasty storm going overhead and the three PBS stations are very clear.
Elevation at my location is 137 feet above sea level, for what it is worth. The next town over shows 181 feet.
The web page from Channel Master shows that there are 44 stations relatively near to me, all within 35 miles of my zip code of 01843. Some of the stations have multiple channels. It was 44.1 44.3 and 44.4 that were showing being fuzzy for a few hours. They are 26 miles away. 21.6 - HSN, which shows being 35 miles away according to the link provided, comes in very clear along with all of the 21.X channels. The 21.X channels are all from the same carrier - I suspect. at least the same location. The three stations are in Concord NH. Now from Lawrence MA to Concord NH, Google maps shows that distance being 47 miles. There is some disparity on distance.
At this point I am happy with the purchase of this Omni directional antenna from 1byone. Many of the TV stations I will not be using much, but still, when considering the distance from the broadcast stations to my home, I think my dad would have been happy for me, and maybe a little envious.
Very soon I will be saying so long to the majority of my cable bill.
And for the record, I was not paid in any way for the input provided above.

Did not work very well. Only picked up half of the channels available in our area.Read more
