Call 1-866-374-9939 from 6am to 10pm PST, 365 days a year.




We'll ship you a replacement device (same or newer model depending on availability). You'll also receive a pre-paid shipping label to send your damaged device back to us (must have a valid credit card on file in order to receive a replacement).




Return your damaged device within 30 days from reception (otherwise you will be charged the price of the replacement).


Things to know:

  • Upon purchase, you'll receive an email. This will be your official purchase confirmation. To give you the best customer experience possible, SquareTrade may also contact you about your purchase by telephone.
  • Please read the terms and conditions (see the link at the bottom of the page).
  • Start Date: Plan begins on the date your device is delivered, or on the plan purchase date if you already have your device and are purchasing a plan within 30 days of device purchase, and is inclusive of the manufacturer's warranty period. If you have an issue and are covered by the manufacturer at that time, you'll be directed to the manufacturer first.

I have had 2 Fire Sticks quit working in a weeks time. I had purchased Square Trade protection plans for both of them. It has been impossible to file a claim. Their website has not worked, and their customer service reps refer me to the website. I am more than frustrated because I have purchased several policies on different electronics. I really am getting the feeling they make it difficult to file a claim so you just give up. Disappointed with Square Trade and the Fire Stick

I was told one thing by SquareTrade as to what is covered and what is not covered, only to find out that after filing my claim, my issue was not covered. This is honestly a scam and just an extended version of the manufacturer's warranty. The person I spoke with at SquareTrade said everything was covered except theft or loss. I was told damage was covered, which it is in fact not covered. You have to contact Amazon, and then they make you jump through a million different hoops only to not get anything resolved.

Save your money and don't fall for this scam.

I placed an order for 2-Fire Sticks, then also ordered the 2-year protection plan for both. After I was told that the fire sticks were back ordered until the end of the month I decided to cancel that order for both. Well Square trade will only refund me for one of the two purchases of the 2-year agreement plan, therefor they still owe me $ 4.98. Be careful when placing 2-year agreement plans on items that you may cancel before they ship

I purchased their two year warranty for a fire stick and a fire tv. Days later I changed my mind and cancelled both warranties. I have contacted SquareTrade twice now about refunding my money. I have filed a complaint with the San Francisco Better Business Bureau. I have filed an A to Z Guarantee claim with Amazon. 9 days later and I still cannot get these people to refund my money. Clearly poor business practices.

Got it for my Amazon Fire Stick. The stick died 1 year after purchasing, but with the plan, I got another Stick sent to me as quickly as Amazon was able to send me one (within 2 business days).

My remote stopped working very shortly after I got the Fire Stick. I didn't want to go through the hassle of going through Customer Service so I just used my Fire App on my phone. That started to get annoying so gave up and finally gave in and called CS. Good grief. I have been on hold and then off hold and on hold with them for 23 minutes now (and still waiting and on hold) they basically had me do everything but sacrifice a chicken to see if the remote was truly defective. The did say they were sending me a new remote over night so I should expect it tomorrow.
