What does it mean when it says each movie has 2 discs, not including bonus features?

Does that mean that halfway into disc 1, you have to insert disc 2?

Or is it something where 1 disc is the theatrical version and the other is the extended edition?

that means you have to insert disc 2 halfway through the film. There is no theatrical version included. disc 3 and 4 include the bonus material, which I find more worthwhile getting than the film itself.
