We guarantee our compact spare tire to be the highest quality and best option for your money on the market today. Here is why:
To make our product incredibly simple to use, we began by designing an aluminum alloy wheel that is significantly lighter and more capable than its conventional steel counterpart. This makes it much easier to handle and improves vehicle performance & fuel economy. To maintain excellent standards of quality, we ensured that our alloy wheel meets or exceeds the latest DOT standards.
In the way of making a roadworthy compact spare that will go the distance, we implemented the use of a Pirelli tire with a DOT “M” rating. This rating gives the tire the ability to travel at freeway speeds up to 81 mph, thus giving you the ability to safely reach your destination. Bottom line, when it comes to a high-quality compact spare our product will not be beaten.

*Tesla has modified the rear brake on some 2017 and newer Model S vehicles. Generally, all standard non-performance models WILL require a spacer when mounting the spare on the rear wheel. All 2020 and newer models will require this spacer. To be certain- If your vehicle has two separate brake calipers on each rear wheel, you will NOT need a spacer. If you have a single brake caliper on each rear wheel, you WILL need a spacer. Contact us for assistance if needed.

The kit seems to be complete, although I am yet to test fit it to make sure it fits. The carrying case is nice to keep everything together, but I will say don't expect it to last long. Both the grab handle and the shoulder strap that are on the exterior of the case to assist in you moving the spare tire around have both already either torn, or broken. I'm a little disappointed in that, considering the extra price of kit with the carrying case (some $45 extra if I'm not mistaken) and the fact that so much thought has been put into the rest of the kit... Just to have both means of lifting the kit to break only the 3rd time having ever lifted the spare tire out of my trunk.

I bought this Modern Spare for my 2019 Tesla Model S because Teslas (like many new cars) don't come with a spare. I travel a lot and have had a few close calls where I was fortunate to be able to use a fix-a-flat type thing to get me home but, I worry about being stuck in a situation where this stuff wouldn't be enough! I travel back roads a lot and now I worry no more because I carry this Modern Spare in my trunk now! I did a lot of research before buying and am so glad I finally decided to buy one of these kits! It comes with everything, I mean EVERYTHING, I will need if I ever have to change my tire. It comes in a nice carry case that contains everything and is a one-stop, easy to work solution to avoid being stranded on a dark road for long! What a relief!!
