"For 10 years or so I've considered the Swanepoel TRENDS Report one of the most vital on the changing business of real estate. Now, with the addition of seven additional contributors including Michael McClure, I believe the 'bible' on real estate technology has arrived in the form of the Swanepoel TECHNOLOGY Report. "

The Geeky Girls
"The 'Swanepoel TRENDS Report' has been the ultimate real estate resource highlighting emerging concepts and elements shaping the business. The thought of combining the power of Swanepoel and McClure's experience, passion, and knowledge to create a second publication, the 'Swanepoel TECHNOLOGY Report' has me at the edge of my seat with anticipation.
"Stefan has an amazing grasp of far more than just where the real estate industry is and the current technology. He is a true visionary and can see where some of the newest trends and technologies will take society and our industry."
Keller Williams Colorado
"Best in the business at using technology in real estate is Michael McClure."
Author, Digital Leader and Socialnomics
"Too often we find that experts are either great writers or great speakers - rarely do we find both in one incredibly talented and passionate person. Stefan Swanepoel is that rare breed of professional that gives you the total package. A New York Times bestselling author and a dynamic and inspiring speaker - read him, bring him into your organization, hear him speak...but whatever you do, make sure you experience the brilliance that is Stefan."

From the Author
Realtors this Report is for you!
A hands-on, practical guide on the most important elements of the technology, online, social media and mobile world that shapes the real estate industry you and I earn our keep in.
Everyone tells us that consumers are changing, that home-buyers and sellers are different and that the real estate transaction will never be the same. As always the largest challenge is not in having the vision but making sense of it, deciding what can be done to maximize it, and then to go do it.
In many regards we can already do every part of the traditional real estate transaction on the road by using our iPad or mobile phone - anywhere, anytime. Many Realtors are already adapting apps and learning how they could become a mobile, paperless agent.
But there is so much to keep up with, so much to master, so many programs, so many apps, so many ways to do the same thing - and then it continuously changes.
So, hence the new annual Swanepoel TECHNOLOGY Report.
This is companion Report to the annual Swanepoel TRENDS Report that is now it its eight year. Both annual Reports are approximately 164 pages; TRENDS being published end January and the TECHNOLOGY end April...the first focusing on trends, strategies, leadership, management, acquisitions, commissions, business models, offices, models and so on.
The goal with this Report was to research, compile and then to provide practical guidelines as how you should decided whether you need this new technology, and then steps how to implement it if you decide to move forward. We could cover everything ourselves in one edition of 165 pages, and decided that we will every year focus on the 10 most current, new, important or most significant elements of the tech world we think we help you on your journey. For example this year we started with blogging, covered things such podcastsing, Twitter, Evernote, video, managing your digital footprint, using Mobile and beginning your journey to a paperless agent. We did not detail Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, Texting, Online Education and many other subjects that we wanted to research future and find the best information that would help make you a better and more efficient agent. Those subjects will most likely all make there way into the 2014 Swanepoel TECHNOLOGY Report.
In celebration of the fact that these two Reports in 2013 are our 19th and 20th publications tracking real estate trends, (that's well over 2,000 pages of published strategic trends research on our industry) we have decided to release the last few years of Report on our website, RETrends.com, as a gift to the industry. This information will be free to our subscribers; will be searchable, viewable in HTML and downloadable in PDF format.
Lastly, to my co-authors and contributors, thank you to each and everyone that gave of his or her knowledge and time to help make this first Swanepoel TECHNOLOGY Report as comprehensive as it. The technology world is such a rapidly evolving one that I could not have done this without your enormous contribution, knowledge and experience. You have my sincere appreciation and gratitude.
On behalf of all of the co-authors and contributors, we hope that your future is wireless, online, connected and integrated.
