I installed these hooks on my TJ 1997. Fit perfect like a glove. I used the bolts that came to with the hooks and fit perfect on the front bumper no additional drilling needed. Just have in mind that you have to use a T55 star torx bit to take the original bolts off. It took me 15 minutes to install these hooks.

The hooks feel really heavy duty and look great once put on. I installed them on my 2001 jeep wrangler and the holes lined up perfectly.
The only down side is, the hardware and hooks will start rusting, fast. I resprayed everything with some flat black engine enamel and bought some grade 8 bolts to replace the ones that were included for a more custom look and now I'm good!

Looks to be in great shape. The bolts were too short to mount to my hitch. I have a three ball hitch and the 4th side is empty - so i figured i'll install this hook on it without having to replace the whole hitch assembly (saving money where ever I can). There's an item that is the same as this item but without the bolts for two dollars less. I should have done that instead - now I have to go buy some bolts that are rated for 10,000lbs!

Update. Woke up this am and went str8 to Lowes. For $6, got two grade 8 3.5" bolts, nuts, and lock washers. Ive updated with new photos of the installed product. Im a happy camper! Now lets find a tree to pull ;)

Item is first quality and will bolt directly to the frame of my Silverado. However, the tip of the hook is so close to the frame end/edge that it seems to be impossible to attach anything to it. I would recommend a longer shaft or shank so it will allow more room for the hook to protrude outward enough to attach a chain, rope, cable, or whatever is being used to tow something.

Every place I went only had these in chrome. I wanted black and found it for a good price here on Amazon. Hardest part about installing this hook is drilling the holes. This hook is much stronger than whatever your attaching it to.

I purchased grade 8 bolts(instead of the grade 5 that they come with) and screwed a 1/4'' plate into both sides of my 2004 WJ when I put these in. The mounting surface is essentially stamped steel so I reinforced it. Haven't used them yet, but they are rated at 10,000lbs. I'm happy.

Fits my TJ perfectly. Replaced stock hooks after installing Smittybilt raised winch plate which caused stock hooks to stock out beyond the edge of the plate. Even better, these have the retainer clip to keep your strap in place while you slide around in the mud.

These Curt 22411 tow hooks are of very good quality and for the price, I think they were an excellent value, especially considering that they are made in the USA and include the mounting hardware and safety keeper clips. I bought two of these black painted tow hooks to mount to the front of my Dodge W150 and they installed fairly easily with only minor drilling of some 1/2" bolt holes in the frame. The hooks are rated at 10,000 pounds each, so should be more than adequate for what I am using them for. The price for these tow hooks here on Amazon is also the best I've seen anywhere, so overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.
