The band is solid and heavy (what I wanted) to match similar bands I wear for my Invicta and Seiko watches.
The band fits the LG G Watch R; however, the pins that come with the band would not work with the LG G Watch R as supplied.
Please note this is not the band or the stock pins fault! The stock pins that come with the band are great & are very heavy full diameter. I am still able to use the band by swapping out the stock pins with a smaller diameter set of pins (this allows the band to install and work!). Smaller pins do not come with the band (I had those from another watch band and thankfully work).
I have used the band for several days now without problem. Final note, for others planning to use with a LG G Watch R, because the watch is large 50 mm, I had to remove about 5 links to get the size right for my wrist. This also a good thing because I have a "medium" size wrist, so if you are a large or extra-large wrist and want to use with a LG G Watch R, it should size to fit.
I got a new Seiko SKX007 with an orange dial, and wanted to keep that "black and orange" look yet have a metal band. Took a chance on this one.
Very heavy duty, well finished. Each link is uniform, same fit and finish. Clasp snaps into place easily but firmly. Safety clasp also locks well. The lug ends - right at 22mm which is what the Seiko uses. The lug ends are also solid machined metal... everything is solid.
This is a first rate band. It came with sturdy looking pins with strong springs. The weight on this band is heavier than a Rolex band. The inner parts of the main clasp are skeletonized to fit within each other...
I can't say enough good here. For the price I figured I'd get some so-so quality.... not so. This is top shelf.
The only thing... is perhaps how the finish wears. I have a way to blacken stainless should it need touch up, but... since I've only just gotten it, I cant say exactly how things will be down the road.
The band also came in a nice "band envelope" with protective film on all the exterior parts of the band.
Due to a shipping snafu from the watch vendor (not the strap vendor) it took two and a half months to get the watch the strap was going to be mated with.
It finally arrived, so I can give a more detailed (and glowing) review.
First of all - this strap is precision. Its worth every penny and not cheaply made. The links appear solid. If they're folded at all... I can't detect any sort of parting line or seam. This is made exactly like the Rolex Oyster bracelet as far as I can tell.
Next - the bracelet comes with so many adjustable links, I cannot imagine it not fitting on any wrist at all. I've got thick wrists - and required an extra link in my Rolex Submariner. I usually use the Seiko jubilee style bands at full adjustment, nothing removed. On this reproduction Oyster bracelet, I had to remove three links. Never before have I ever had to do even one. If you have large wrists, this will fit, no problem at all.
Speaking of adjustment, there are no push pins. Each link is individually screwed to the next. I got curious and tried the screw in my Rolex band. It fits, and screws in. Exact same size and thread pitch. Good to know if you ever lose a screw I suppose, but perhaps more indicative of a nicely made band.
The clasp is a combination safety foldover latch, and twin releases on the clasp proper. It won't come off, but I'm not totally sold on the added mechanism as a clasp. The regular fold over and snap clasps are just fine, and can easily be tightened and/or adjusted if need be.
The finish - does not exist between links. Sides of links are bright. The edges of the links are absolutely polished black - like black mirrors.
The fit of the lug end pieces to the case of the watch was superlative. Just about zero side play. This made fitting a little bit of a chore. Sliding straight into the case, the fit was snug. Angling into the case was all but impossible because of the close fit - its that nicely made. There is one little area that lines up to make angling in possible - as you'd have to fit it that way in order to get the pins into the case. There are small cut outs to make removal possible.
Still no word on the finish lasting. Guess we'll have to actually wear the watch a bit and see.
Looks great, the finish looks good. There is a taper as it goes to the clasp - the end three that attach to the watch have the taper, after that the removable links are straight. I have a fairly large wrist and took one link off of each side.
