Editorial Reviews
"25" is the highly anticipated new album from Adele, and is her first new music since her Oscar winning single "Skyfall" in 2012.
"Hello" is the debut single from "25." The cinematic video for "Hello" was shot in the countryside surrounding Montreal and is directed by the celebrated young Canadian director Xavier Dolan (Mommy, Tom at the Farm).

Really liking Adele's new album 25. The vinyl sounds very good as well.

Both my wife and I really like 25. Of course we've all been hearing Hello, which I still like. Picked this up on Vinyl, which includes the MP3 version from Amazon. No download card inside. There was a slight amount of surface noise at beginning of Hello, but other than that it sounded great. Nice heavyweight vinyl & jacket with photos, but no lyrics, just like 21.First listened to the MP3, and later when UPS arrived, put on the vinyl. So I still don't have any new favorites, but it is a very good record, and we very much enjoyed the whole album. So glad this has finally been released. Adele sounds beautiful.

If you are expecting old school vinyl, you will be sorely disappointed in this product. In spite of a supposedly new record, I received a vinyl disc that had fingerprint smudges and a 4 inch by 1/2 inch scrape across one side in spite of it being in a sealed package. Other than that the sound quality sounds like a digital copy pressed onto a vinyl disc. There are no nuances or characteristics associated with a true vinyl album. You are basically getting a CD pressed onto vinyl. I was not expecting an audiophile quality disc but was expecting something better than what I received. Also, the second replacement record was just as bad. It had a dimple on each side that makes playing the record smoothly from beginning to end impossible. Save your money and buy directly from a reputable audio seller.

Needless to say, musical tastes are personal, and personally, I adore Adele. If you are going to purchase "25", there is no reason NOT to get the version with the three extra songs.
As far as comparing this album with "19" and "21", I do not think personal opinions are useful. Obviously, Adele has grown and changed with time, as do all artists. Everyone will have a favorite Adele album when her work is done, just as everyone has a favorite Beatles or Zeppelin album. If you loved "19" and "21", trust the artist and listen with an open mind to what she has to offer now. Know that it won't be exactly like the previous albums, or for that matter, the next ones.
I am very pleased that I purchased "25" and after much play, it has not gotten old, nor do I expect it to.

Adele's 25 is very good in my humble opinion. After reviewing movies and music for over 20 years on Amazon I have found this album yo be totally satisfying. Adele's fire of the heart is still clearly evident and evolving to a deeper sense of emotionally charged delivery of words and melody. 25 is a continuation of that fire that she gave us in 19 and 21 and this is an essential album if you loved the experience that she has given us.

I would rate this a solid 3.5 stars (i rounded up).
Pros: Touching lyrics, some good instrumentals, great singing (but no HUGE or drawn-out notes like songs in 21)...
Cons: Most of the songs were so verbose lyrics-wise that little to no opportunity (or breath) for ANY big notes such as we were accustomed to to in 21, or long, drawn out ones. Didn't get the range low-to-high in ANY songs as compared to 21. Also didn't like the "pop" direction of some of the songs in both terms of lyrics and music.
Her stand-out song on this album, and the only song to approach the breath and range of ANY of the songs from 21 is "Hello."

Adele's voice is very soulful, especially on this album. I don't care too much for the lyrics but Adele's voice, which is so much like some of the best opera sopranos, simply cuddles my soul and heart. Her voice is so wonderfully powerful, even though she sings about having her heart broken (which is on the mend; a broken heart never heals completely) that I feel more alive when I hear her sings -- her voice is very mature and polished, like many great opera sopranos. "Hello" sounds so hauntingly operatic but Adele does leave the listener with optimism about new love and life. "Hello" is an exquisite song, lyrically and vocally! You go Lady! I hope Adele sings and perform operas, in due course. In "25", Adele seems to have found closure about having her heart broken. I hope she signs about finding new love in her next album. Her "21" was nice too, but I think "25" reveals the great power of Adele's voice, soul, passion and heart!

Oh the angst of love!.... no one does it better than Adele. She gives voice to every person who has been dumped, excluded, rejected, dismissed and has made millions expressing human heartache on a grand scale. She is like a sad, beautiful human bell ringing mournfully in the night. IN all seriousness, what a set of pipes this lady has. The songs are nearly all exquisite; there really isn't a dud track on the whole album. Were I to quibble I would say there are a few too many references to getting older; my goodness, Adele, I hope you are not as obsessed with youth and aging as you sometimes sound in these songs. There is time for that much later... go to Paris, see the world, and enjoy being the impossibly rich woman you are! There is more to life than romantic anguish hopefully; as one of your sounds astutely observes, one can be quite lonely within the confines of a relationship as well as on one's own. This is a beautifully produced work of art; I like it much better than her last album, but that one was no slouch either. She will need a bus to take home all her Grammys.

Bad vinyl quality, songs skipping
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 11, 2019Verified Purchase
I bought this in vinyl and as soon as it arrives yesterday, I started playing the album. There was some skipping, specially in "I miss you". I didn't even heard the whole album, it was impossible because it was skipping so much. I tested other álbuns and they were perfectly fine. I asked for a replacement for the item, which Amazon did immediately. I got a new one today. The same problem, the third song in side A was skipping and this time I tried to listen to more songs, but the first and second ones in side B were the same, jumping all the time. Impossible to hear. I tested again other álbuns that I have and they played perfectly. So, I can only think that the problem is with this product and it's bad quality. I just asked for a refund. Although Amazon have a great customer service (they did exactly what I asked for), all this returning the product part is really really annoying. I don't recommend this album, it is a waste of energy and time.

Loving it!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 8, 2016Verified Purchase
Brilliant, then I knew it would be. I love Adele and this latest offering from her is of the same brilliant standard as her last album. Some people are accusing her of plagiarising others work. I don't hear it myself no matter how hard I listen. Hello....is not a copyrighted word.....and this song is NOTHING like Lionel Ritchie's Hello, in fact it's light years away from it. What ARE these people listening to that say things like this, they need their ears syringed.
Other's are comparing another of her song's, to one from Neil Young called Old Man and another one to an artist I can't quite remember. There's no likeness whatsoever as far as I can hear.
Anyway I'm still playing it enjoying it and loving every minute. Can't go wrong with auto-rip either, as it means you can play it in the house while having a copy in the car...brilliant...what's not to like! Buy it!

If it wasn't for the radios.....smashing album!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 25, 2017Verified Purchase
Although Adele's genre is not my cuppa, I am thoroughly enjoying this album; it's well produced and her voice is so powerful that gets inside of you and gives you shivers... There are moment of brilliance and other of beauty, never falling into commercial chees as often chart stuff does, especially when a hyped-by-majors band/artist releases a full album.
The downside, at least for me, is that radios in my and many workplaces have been blowing these singles for a couple of years and albeit smashing tunes I am growing sick of 'em, not denying though that this is a great pop album that deserves all the credits. 5 stars !

This is a fantastic album, worth every penny. Its a while since I bought a CD and found it very useful getting the digital download with it although that kind of defeats the purpose of the CD. Having said that, the CD was for my wife who has an older car and uses the CD in it.

Bought this for my sister for Christmas and I know she loves it but I got the free download (cheeky) and at first I wasn't sure, I had heard that this album was supposedly more upbeat than the previous two (which I loved anyway) but on listening through it I'm not sure I heard that right as it seems more sombre to me. I do, however after listening to it constantly for three weeks, actually love it. It's my go too album if I have a spare 5-20mins to myself.
