Absolutely love the collection, I am an avid gamer and have been playing the series for years. The best thing about this collection is that you have all of the content on a single disk which makes it so easy and hassle free to download and play instantly. Stronghold is a castle building strategy game that is filled with awsome features to explore and conquer. You will not regret buying this. If you are looking to play Online Multi-Player you might be dissappointed as FireFly as of 2014 has shut down the servers for SH2 and SHLegends, Fear not however as there is still a way to play with your friends by downloading something called gameranger!, All in all it is a great buy priced right and well worth it if you are a gamer who loves to build massive empires and destroy your opposition then this is for you!

Sure they are older, but these are some of the greatest economy games I have ever played. I originally purchased these from Direct to Drive, but when they got bought by GameFly, the titles got yanked. They said that they may be available again, but couldn't give me a release date.

I came over to amazon and they had the whole collection DRM free. This is the first game I bought from Amazon that is digital download, and I am hooked.

The games in this collection are great if you like economy games. They are older so the system requirements are less, in fact play these on my little 11z laptop that has a hard time playing minecraft.

If you like economy games or tactical war games, you will like these. If you don't like setting up an economy and doing things like hanging or stoning peasants, sending hundreds of archers and knights to defeat the Noble who happens to live next to you, or setting up shop in a rocky valley to ambush an incoming invasion .. you probably don't want these.

The games in this bundle are great! The best of the Stronghold series, my personal favorite is Stronghold Legends as it allows for quick games, lasting 2-6 hours.

However Amazon's download service is painfully slow. Despite having Ultra-Wide-band Time Warner (50mbs) I never got over 1-2mbs during the entire download, it took 2 entire days to download. This was not on my end it was on Amazon's end. I complained to Amazon at the time but could not get an answer to the reason. Since I bought this game in November, I have found their game DL service to be persistently slow. I have found that their download service for any software that you purchase is very sub-par. So be prepared to take a couple days to download any games.

Ordered this as it contains a full set of the Stronghold games and a good chance to play them as I never have. First off. I'm running Win 8.1 and even though there are concerns playing some games on 8.1, I was able to install and play each one of these games without a problem at all. The thing I liked most is that they play without having to have the DVD inserted in the drive. It means you can play simply by clicking the shortcut and off you go. All played very well and I didn't need to adjust the resolution on any of them even though I have a 1366x768 set up default. I found the games to be entertaining and easy to get into. A really good buy for me.

I really love sim and strategy games so I had high hopes going into this one. I read all the reviews and figured for $6.78 for the whole collection, even if I didn't like it, I wasn't losing much.

So...it took 2.5 hours to download and install the first 3 games. I didn't even bother with the last one since it was getting late and I just wanted to play the original to start with.

There is a chance during install to view the Readme file. DO IT. Print it if you can. You will need it for reference. As the game loads into full screen, I was not able to click Windows and go back to the Readme file during game play. As my printer was not working at the time, it made learning the controls and game play very difficult. I do not like the controls but after an hour I had more or less figured them out in Free Play mode.

I restarted my mission several times trying different building strategies to increase popularity and mood but it kept falling. This could be my game playing so don't hold that against the game. I've never had much trouble in the past with games of this nature but this one had me stumped. If I built too many hunting shacks/wood cutters/hovels, the game would say I didn't have enough workers. If I didn't build enough of those items, my workers would sit lazily about the fire. Very frustrating but I'm going to give it another shot tonight.

So I'll leave it at a 3-star for now. The game LOOKS interesting and there are modes of game play I haven't even attempted yet so it has potential. I don't like the controls and the inability to view the Readme inside the game but I can get it printed and fix that. However I was very disappointed to see this collection for $4.99 on Amazon today as I went to write my review. Really? Under 24 hours and the price drops? Oh well, such is life.

This game is a classic. It's one of those games you won't play for months but then when you get back into it you can't stay away. It's really though out with good graphics, good user control and all in all just a lot of fun. It doesn't cost much, don't need an internet connection to play and really one of the best games out there if you like this time period. No matter how many times you play the same level it's something different.

It's def worth a try and if you don't like it, it's only a few bucks and you can probably recoup it on ebay.

Es una buena colección de los primeros Stronghold, lo que se aprecia es que los juegos vienen en el disco y no se necesita una cuenta steam para poder jugar, punto a su favor si se desea vender mas adelante.
Respecto al envió, me llego al segundo intento de pedirlo (aunque tuve que pagar mas, pues el precio subió), de allí en fuera esta todo bien, me hubiera gustado que, como al ser juegos antiguos trajeran algún manual de esos grandes que tenían dichos juegos, pero solo trae una misera hoja como todos los de hoy en dia.

6 Games (+1 HD Remake) - I had to be honest, for the low price of 12 dollars - I was expecting there to be some sort of catch.
But there wasn't - All of the games function perfectly (better than previous version I've owned, even) - Completely unopened or altered, packing was unscathed. Generally, I was very impressed with the quality, it was like new - or even better than new in some cases.

無駄なタイトルが多すぎます。クルセイダーエクストリームだけが遊べます。レジェンドと２は、なんで３Dにしたんでしょう。グラフィック悪いし見にくいし、遊べません。失敗作です。日本語版のクルセイダーをお勧めします。
